Hello House, pls who has an idea on insurance cover for study application?

Which coy is recommended and how much does it cost?

Pls help a brother!

Go to the study to protect site. The fee is between €150-180, depending on the plan you choose

Google

'StudyandProtect Student Medicover Standard'

It will cost about €150 or so for 1 year coverage policy starting from your resumption date.

Use a valid email address as your policy statement and cover summary will be sent to your mailbox after a successful card payment (can still be reprinted from the portal).

Print the cover summary as evidence of health insurance cover for your application.

Hi Alday!

Have you received your passport back from the embassy?
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Alday: 5:24am On Jul 20, 2020
Not yet. I guess they're yet to date and affix the visas. The Nigerian ban on international flights is likely the reason for that.

I hope things improve from next month.

Good day all, for those that have appealed their visa decision before. Has anyone ever been refused based on lack of explanation of lump sum of accounts? If yes, how did you go about it?, also when appealing did you print an updated bank statement or printed out the same bank statement submitted earlier and highlight the lump sums then gave detailed explanation? Tnx.

I feel your pain bro i also felt that way, i was confused when they told me i was looking away from the screen for a long period of time, which i didnt, all they want is their money.
Just make sure you follow their instructions and try to be as calm as possible even though that is hard to achieve in an highly tensed exam environment.
Once again good luck.
thank you so much

Yes, some refusals are based on not explaining lump sums into and out of the accounts. Anything above N100k should be explained. Also include payment slips if applicable.

No matter what date he prints, the balance on the account will still show. Any attempt to fiddle with the balance can lead to a refusal and a ban which will be shared with other embassies on request!

All,

You will have been aware that visa appointments had been suspended in Nigeria for the last couple of weeks due to an issue with the biometric kit.

We’ve been working away on solutions over the last few days and are glad to report that we are now in a position to re-open in Lagos to fresh appointments from next Monday 27th – to address whatever pent up demand may have occurred, we will also be doubling the appointment slots available and will monitor demand in order to free up more slots if required. We hope to be in a position to facilitate those who had their appointments cancelled by offering them appointments over the course of the rest of this week.

Unfortunately we are still working on a solution for the VAC in Abuja but hope to have something in place there as soon as possible thereafter.

This news will go up on the Embassy website and social media feeds, hopefully at some stage this evening.

We will keep you updated in relation to our work on a solution for Abuja over the coming days.

If I’m missing anyone from the email, perhaps you could forward this update to them – I’ve hopefully included everybody, at least through the representative bodies.

Regards

@ICasNg
Please can anyone confirm:
1. If I need to print out the account statement I paid my school fees from or the telex from the bank is okay.

2. Is below enough documents needed from my sponsor?
- Birth Certificate/International passport (Data page)
- Letter of Sponsorship
- Employment Confirmation
- Fixed Deposit Certificate
- 3 recent payslips
- Six (6) months salary account statement

As stated earlier, you need to print out the statement of account for 6 months, showing explanations for the lump sums in and out of the account.

Then, you can add all the documents stated in (2) and also show the proof of the relationship between you and the sponsor!

Hello guys, i have noticed that a lot of people have been denied visa on the basis that they did not give sufficient explanation for lump sums.

So my question goes thus : Are those who are using the edu bond exempt from the lump sums assessment or is it a general visa evaluation criteria?

Plz in what way can a sponsor who runs a business and normally receives multiple lump sums of over 200k from more than 8 different customers daily all through the 6 months duration give his sufficient explanation of lump sums? Does he need to mention and explain each of these lump sums one after the other in his sponsorship letter?

PLZ HELLLLPPP!!!!!

Hi if this is the pattern in your account it is not considered a lumo sum. It is only a lump sum when is is unusual from the usual trend in your account.
