Ishilove how far? Are you planning to buy helicopter or you have made provisions for your budding yam legs? The traffic on alternative routes would be crazy. grin

Hahaha, like we don't see enough aggression here already cheesy When you see the frustration with which some people comment, you wonder how hard life is, lol.

Why would they want to repair 3rd Mainland Bridge and Marine Bridge simultaneously? Our planners need think properly.

Meanwhile Eko bridge closed from the Alaka end for the past 4/5 months

Lagosians are rugged, we will get through this

Well i pass through their yesterday but coming back through orile was hectic. Wasted about 4 hrs with trailer loads and fuel tankers.
What happened to our speed train along their, what happened to a new Link bridge to connect Mainland-Island. We are living in a state of dilemma in this Nigeria.
I'm sorry folks i can't fight them because they have guns and knives.
This is why i ask my creator to give me strength to be like "Rayden" in Mortal Kombat. I love the striking thunder features.

He never wanted to be Governor. He's not even on 10 list.

He was forced on Lagosians. Hence, he has no agenda

This closure is for the benefit of everyone. If the bridge collapses, they would start blaming government.

Guy, this is not a cool comment. Bridges are maintained all over the world but things are put in place. What was put in place in Lagos? I doubt you're in Gidi.

I know it would cause severe hardship but it's for the best. I stay in Ajao estate, Isolo for now since schools are closed.
I asked one of the civil engineers supervising the repair and he explicitly told me that cars can't ply the bridge while they work. Probably due to its outdated technology compared to those you mentioned.

I am on the island, working from home since March. I want to get away next weekend so I will do Lekki - Epe- ijebu ode-sagamu-ibadan. Same route while coming back. My strategy has been more on how I travel outside Lagos through the airport at ikeja and I have resolved that I will leave island the day before, stay in a hotel close to the airport, I usually do Ibis, and then get into the airport early. Most important is the need to ensure that I do not travel except it is absolutely necessary. In my head there are not more than 3 more trips till end of year...one trip to Abuja soon, new yam festival in September and Christmas trip.

Can someone please confirm whether those hotels are now operational? I have been having limited contact with civilization...I drink at home or an estate bar, buy from the supermarket and generally stay indoors. This scam will soon be managed by God's grace.
