This is not new, some countries already use this. Our faeces produces methane gas. While in the university, years ago, 2006 to be precise, I and two of my friends, Oscar and Iyke produced pure blue burning methane gas from poultry droplets, it's still the same process.

For those saying it's not healthy, what type of aroma will cooking with faecial fuel give the food. It's perfectly healthy, and no "aroma" whatsoever. As the gas comes out, it simply burns so no "aroma" will escape, it's safe.

It's biogas for crying out loud.

I know it's safer than other cooking gases but I'm still curious about how the leakage will smell especially while trying to switch on the light.

How sustainable is this as it is non renewable

It's not a new invention, biogas has always been there you can get more info on YouTube videos. I just don't know why we have not been using it, maybe some disadvantages

Use the latrine gas to cook akpu to feed people. When they use latrine the akpu come out as waste, decomposes and build gaseous content to feed stove.

In okwudor village in Imo State ,a young man has taken the bull by the horn , he is investing heavily in this alternative energy by channelling the gas from soak away pits and laterines to be used in cooking. He has done this so well that the people are happy with his technology.

It's biogas there is also bio toilet that doesn't requires large suckaway pit or packing it's designed in such a way to dissolve by itself i have even arranged with someone who specialize in it to construct one for me in the village for #300k.

How many seconds does it take to light up a gas cooker whenever you want to cook? I find this your question disturbing, but it's all good. Not everybody has a scientific way of viewing things.

Okay, assuming it leaks, would you prefer being burnt to crisps to have a little stench here and there. If you are scared of leakage, then buy a gas cooker with a self lighting mechanism, it's very cheap and affordable.
