Ah, my poor little Abeed is confused over 2 Samuel 24:9 and 1 Chronicles 21:5. But for those of us with brains there is no confusion, so let me explain ![]() The two scripture passages refer to two different events. In the first passage, 2 Samuel 24:9 God orders David to take a census of Israel which he does. End of story. Nothing else happens because David carried out God's instructions as he was ordered. The second passage, Satan tells David to take another census of Israel just after God has punished the Israelites for disobedience by sending a plague which killed many of them. This is clearly an act of disobedience since the order did not come from God, but from satan, so God was justifiably angry and punished Israel and David again. Are you still confused my good Abeed? ![]() Xposed2020: |

ContractKiller:Chapter 8 verse 9 :”Remember ye implored the assistance of your Lord, and He answered you: "I will assist you with a thousand of the angels, ranks on ranks." Here God speaks, and reminds the companions of the prophet (PBUH) of his help in the battle of Badr. Chapter 3, verse 124 :”Remember thou saidst to the Faithful: "Is it not enough for you that Allah should help you with three thousand angels (Specially) sent down?” Here God speaks but reminds Muhammad (PBUH) of what he _i.e. Muhammed_ said to his companions, and what didn’t happen “sending angels” in the battle of Uhud, due to Muslims’ failure to follow orders. So, the first verse talks about battle of Badr, and the second verse is about battle of Uhud; so no contradiction. Please try harder. |
