Here is your answer : Adam was not yet perfectly mature . The tree 2 forbidden tree were actually for Adam to eat but the time was not yet . Remember he was to replenish the earth yet he was not even aware of his nudity . I don’t know how many months they were in the garden yet they could not have sex . Because the time was not yet . Adam was to eat the fruit at the right time of his maturity . But he ate it prematurely and at the devils command not God’s .
