Just got back from my weekly 6km run. Third time I am doing this. Today I did it in the downpour. This week, I had just about the same thing every day: fruit salad in the morning, with tea, beans and stew (no beef or fish) in the afternoon, and boiled plantain with vegetables (carrots, broccoli, and green peas) in the evening. I also did 2km on the treadmill every single day, except for yesterday. I also broke my eating rule and had chinese (squid in XO sauce, with vegetables) for dinner, whichi had quite late in the evening. That put paid to my 2km on the treadmill last night. I don't know if i have lost any weight, but i feel really fit, and I am less hungry these days. Oh, lest I forget. I added the plank exercises to my morning routine of situps. This week i did 20 front planks, and 20 left and right sides. |

Haaaah, where do i start from? Hi all I am new here (ie health section). i am happy to find this thread. At least it will encourage me. I am MAGA (wey never fall yet) weight - 110kg (but not looking fat coz of height) Height - 6ft 4 19th september Log. 6:00am - 2:00pm Did nothing in the morning, had enuf sleep 2:00pm Ate Jollof rice with chicken neck & lap. 7:00pm Ate thesame rice with chicken *bachelor life* (i dont know the part) total water intake about 3L gOAL: TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT TO ABOUT 80KG WITHIN TWO MONTHS (HOW POSSIBLE) i want to start skipping, sit ups and push ups daily (i will try to update my status regularly). |

@ajanlekoko:way to go. @maga:welcome to this thread.you have made a good decision but i dont think loosing 30kg in 2 months is feasible. Its better done gradually, making it a lifestyle change. (I dont work out) 6:00am - 1:00pm Over worked myself (should have been my free period coz am on night shift where i work) 1:00pm Ate Eba and Periwinkle soup 2:00pm Ate Rice, fried Irish Potatoes & Fish 2:00pm - 6:00pm had a nice sleep 7:00pm Ate Semovita & vegetable soup NA WA FOR ME OH. @maga: there is no amount of prayer we say for you that can help you loose weight without you making conscious efforts. The truth is that it is not easy at all. You just have to go out of your way to make healthy food choices ( eat lots of fruits and vegetables daily and let your food portions be moderate)and to create time for some form of activity. It can be as simple as taking a walk, jogging, skipping (i.e jump rope), using workout dvds, you can even decide to jug on the spot. just try something. I can tell you its not easy but once you start and make it part of you, you will be glad you did. I am a living witness yesterday's logs 19/9/2011 47 minutes on the cross trainer. I havent done proper weight training for a while now. i will try to do today. |

Tanx @mightlove 4 d encouragement. ALLELU, (i've startd workin out) Log 4 20th september 11 7:00am took a 15mins walk. 1:00pm ate rice wit vegetable soup. 3:00pm did about 100+ skipping 7:00pm drank "koko" & "akara" 7:30pm took a 15mins walk. |

@Maga, Welcome and the fact that you took the bold step just dey sweet my belle,you walked twice which is impressive. you'd also find out that when you begin to work out you get the willpower to control your intake. @My Regular Peeps, Hope y'all doing great,gained weight up to 80.3kg(thankfully back down to less than 78.5kg,80 is my threshold) when I took my break,I was so pissed cos I wasn't snacking,over indulging or sitting on my a ss all day,I just wasn't being as active as I was, but I can honestly report that I wasn't as good as I should have been but I had crazy appetite going on for the few weeks ;sure its the "GREHLIN" doing the havoc. why is it that any period that I take a break of more than three days from my exercise, the hunger pangs become almost unbearable whereas moderate-high intensity exercises just calls for moderate "Refuelling".me I tire ooo. No retreat no surrender though. @Barbie girl,how body,una place don dey cold now abi?? |

21/9/2011 yesterdays logs turbo cardio party mix1- 43 minutes turbo sculpt- 25 minutes, couldnt finish the entire workout I am sore all over,my God this workout is intense but interesting. |

Hi everyone. Yeah i can now effectively post having been able to push myself over the past two mths to lose all the unnecessary kilos i gained over the peiod of one year. I was even scared of weighing myself, however i checked my weight on saturday and am presently weighing 73kg so i need all the inspiration from here to get down to at least 63kg by december this year. Yesterday's log Exercise- 500 skips with a rope( Hope this is adequate) cos i just incorporated exercising on sat. My body still feels sore all over ![]() Water- 3 litres Food Breakfast- Nothing at all. i was in court from morning till 3pm ![]() Lunch - two servings of Rice and beans (mixed) snack- Groundnut (pls how healthy is this?) Dinner-nothing at all, i got home quite late Hope i am doing good? |

Nice to see someone doing very good, welcome uche and that's a nice one, the exercise is quite good but the food is not good at all. If I may ask, how did you "push" yourself in the last two months as you stated. Thank you so much hour glass. When i said push myself i simply meant watch what i eat coupled with little exercise which consisted mostly of long walks. Right now i want to begin to exercise proper to achieve even greater results. Yesterdays logs B- quarter bowl of soup with a piece of meat snack- five pieces of cube sized water melon Lunch- two servings of yam porridge and fish (I didn't finish it though) Dinner- Two pieces of suya i took from a colleague ![]() water- 3 litres(The frequent visit to the rest room is not funny oh! i always try to calculate when i drink water so that when i am pressed i will not be on the road but yesterday, i made a mistake or rather traffic caught me at an unusual hour and u needed to have seen me ![]() Exercise- 500 skips (the aches have subsided very well) My most challenge is dinner. Lunch is served in the office at 1pm and most times i don't eat till the next day cos i get home like 10pm and its then too late to eat anything( House please any help in this area? |

^^^, i get that uche. I actually asked the question to be sure you dint push yourself with a fad diet or something that dropped ur weight outside consistent exercise and healthy diet. I need to say this as ave learnt here that anything u eat constitute a part of ur meal and u are responsible for it. For ur evenings it can be a light snack or fruits which u can be sure will not trouble ur system. Try ur best not to starve at all. Take care |

Anyway, Log for yesterday.Breakfast- six tea spoons of beans and three cube size of water melon Lunch- Two servings of rice and 10 cubed sized plantain with a piece of small sized turkey Dinner- Two oranges and two garden eggs Water- 3.5 litres of water with four cups of green tea Exercise- 1,000 skips, 500 in the morning and five hundred at night with 20 mins brisk walk |

It's been a mixed week for me. I'm out of station, and it has affected my exercise schedule. Though I was able to do my Saturday run, and I'm doing my daily planks. My meals are just all over the place, difficult to log. Yesterday was especially bad, as i didn't have breakfast, had a hearty lunch of noodles and chicken, and a dinner of pounded yam with salmon and seafood. But I've tried to keep myself busy, raise my activity level to compensate for the distortions. Unlike in Lagos, I'm not doing 2km on the treadmill every day. But starting today, I will do daily runs in the evening, the weather is better. |

@uche:welcome back.do not worry, we are 2gether in this. I took a break for a while because i was down with malaria but am fully back now. @ajanlekoko:good to see u log after a long while. I took 1 week rest from when I had malaria. I just resumed workouts today. Today's exercise log 55 minutes on the cross trainer. Have a good night all |

Morn : Fiber product cereal. 3 chewy tablets of benefiber Afternoon. 1hr 30 mins of bike ride. Rice and dodo, 3 chewy fiber tablet (tasty) . I no dey do any diet. I was not brought into this world to suffer. ![]() About to go out for another bike ride with someone. The wind feels so beautiful on my skin. |

Hey guys, Great to see you are still keeping the thread 'alive' and welcome to all the newbies. I'm still on track here but just need to get back into logging it on here consistently. I've just had a few changes in my normal routine which means I'm quite shattered by the end of the day and have such early starts. However I will endeavour to pop in here more frequently and log. I've been doing Tae bo dvds but need to get re-acquainted with my arch enemy Jillian Michaels Shred and Ripped dvds lol, I've been putting it off but need to introduce some strength training in my routine. @Barbie, Very fine,am just taking each day as it comes,the exercise is going good but am tired of all my good foods,I blame "your food", these days I keep dreaming of the 1/2 dozen pieces of low fat processed cheese I bought from duty free,would have demolished them but I still have 1.5 kg to lose in order to get to where I was before my travel. I am thankful though that I have gained 1" in my bum,and absolutely ZERO in my midriff so I have a better silhouette. Gbam @General house (especially HG and ML), Keep on Keeping on. @Uche,Pls don't be offended but you aren't doing your body any long term good! @Chygal,welcome. Height and Weight pls so we can go on from there. |
