FX didn't allow me to get desired Redmi Note 9s. A worthy successor to my Redmi 5 Plus I think.

How do you mean by 'force restart'? Throw more light.
I have restarted the phone severally.

Of recent, the Redmi phone has been problematic. I have Redmi 7A with a failing camera, now a Redmi 8 with a stucked headphone icon disabling speaker.

Hmm
which one be falling camera

At close range, the picture is blur. When you need to snap a close-write up,it disappoints full time

Hold power button for 10-15seconds.

What do you mean by failing camera?
Hold power for 10-15s to shut down or start up?

I clearly remember I used the word "force restart" with emphasis on Restart

Normal mode or portrait mode. And do you tap to focus?

That one self dey. It takes a very good camera phone to capture text clearly at close range. And when we look at device the camera only fair well in good conditions and probably not the kind he was subjecting it to. There is a certain level of expectation one should get from a budget device.

The phone was performing better before, suddenly couldn't do what it use to do before.

However, which mode do you recommend?

Lol...she doesn't know what is going on. If she used DHL, she should prepare for custom duties. If she used AliExpress standard shipping or other cheaper shipping means, she should be ready for a possible 1-4 months wait.
1-4 months probably because of lockdown, normally, no shipping via Aliexpress standard shipping ever passed a month, e no dey reach sef.

Yea, we are all talking based on lockdown. If there weren't any pandemic, these devices would have been so much cheaper and affordable.

Yea, either I use headphones to answer or I put on loudspeaker which makes anyone around listen to my conversation.

He should remove his mi account and factory reset the phone in your presence. Then login with your own mi account in his presence.

1. Setting - Mi Account - Mi Cloud - uncheck find devices

2. Setting - Mi Account - Sign out

3. Login to Mi cloud https://i.mi.com/ with your current account & password. Select your connected device then delete device

If any of these fails, my guy abort mission
