Your network signal is bad wether you use it for data or not. That's why even if your data is off your phone will still experience battery drain due to the bad network
ok.
Their is one code someone post last time *#*#46, i don forget the exact number, do u know it or how i get navigate there to check the signal

This one is from my Redmi Note 5ai
I don't use mifi for it but the network bar is more okay.
All are using same sim

Turn off Bluetooth and WiFi Scanning.

Redmi Note 5 can deceive with that network chart, I use RN5 and I know what I am saying

The code you are talking of is for changing network type

Go to the Xiaomi Compilation thread there is a discussion on the steps there.

It is about phone>all specs>status>SIM status 1/2

Take it to Raya care, either at Ikeja, Saka Tinubu or admiralty it might take time.

Another option is to source the AAA+ replacement screen yourself and give a competent repairer.

Go into Gmail settings, your account, labels and then enable sync for those labels.

Turn on 'Synchronisation' in Gmail settings, if it's not on already; that might be the cause. Someone experienced something similar and it was fixed after turning on :Synchronisation '.

You guys should stop all this battery life questions. Your Chinese ROM mates are already using MIUI 12 and we still have people asking questions about battery before they update. If you are scared of update continue using your phone like that.
Android 10 right?

Good day all. Happy sunday.

So I've been following this thread for a while now, and I must say, its quite informative.
Currently not using a Xiaomi device but I hope to before this year runs out.

Anyway, I've got a question.

Between a 1.4GHZ octa core processor and a 2.0GHZ quad core processor, which would be more effective and give a better all round performance in the long run? Assuming both processors are of the same kind, (both are Snapdragon or MTK), same architecture too, same fabrication process and same size

Before you got the phone weren't you informed about the company policy. Do you think that the Chinese phone will accept bribe and override the company's policy to do your bidding. This is a very good incorruptible phone. You have gold use it like that. Make call and drop your phone like other good men.

Pls my redmi 8a takes time to boot and the apps are a bit slower...it just recently it started...what could be wrong..

If you just installed a memory card on your device, it could be the cause. Remove the sd card and observe if it returns to normal.

I faced something similar back then when I was using the 8a. I don upgrade now sha...to itel cheesy

This should help in a way.

But when it is time to get your phone, your budget will do the talking and not the above.
