It seems to me like the government of president Buhari intentionally decides to turn a blind eyes to the activities of this criminals called police..
The east and southern part of this country is at the receiving end....majority of road blocks in this part of the country have become criminal hubs for Nigeria's police..

How on earth a police officer go to work with POS ?
SARS are doing same it's sad,so sad..

Policemen walking about with POS is the height of it all.....If they are not working in cahoots with some chief egg heads, then this complaint should be easy to investigate but na lie.....the ogas will pretend like alls well and the matter swept under the carpet till another time ,when there will be dusts and probably death again.....

The cycle continues and nothing is perpetually done about police brutality.

My people say, "it is well, even inside the well"

Do you know that God is against government?
When the children of Israel asked for a King, God was angry with them.
God told Samuel to tell the children of Israel the manner of the king and how he would exploit them.
The king(government) will take their choice young men as soldiers and their choice land as vineyards.
Today all the resources are in the hand of the King (government)
To worsen the situation, the rogue and apostate sacral king's(religious elites)are also supporting their secular partners in crime.
Jesus Christ left an example,he was a servant leader washing the feet of his disciples.
All what we call leaders today both sacral and secular are criminals.
I mean ALL OF THEM INCLUDING YOUR LOVING DADDY G.Os

I'm surprised with all the killings by cults and bandits that Police are yet not targeted in retaliation. The day that happens is the day they will think before they act and begin to carry out their duties professionally. Until then.... business as usual... each Police is above the law.

I know someone will come and attack me. If those we elected especially the president cannot be hold responsible for the situation in the country, then who am I suppose to hold responsible? My headmaster?

Economy.... crawling
Security... terrible
Welfare... horrible

And yet they will say we should not hold the president responsible

Thet something doesn’t reach u today does not mean it won’t reach u tomorrow or someone very close to you

The revival of this country is our collective effort and we don’t need to be partisan about it

Nigerians don't like the light. You get mocked for doing the right thing.

So I waited at the traffic light to turn green, others crossed when it was at red, as it turned yellow, then green,I crossed. People were laughing at me.

Hope you now see why this nation isn't progressing. I got ridiculed for doing the right thing, don't be surprised to see a comment blaming the young man.

I am sure the dead boy was a student that was supposed to be at home by now.

What was he still doing at school when all schools were still closed due to covid19.

The truth of the matter be say, na who want make the police shop am, na him them dey shop.

If you are legit in your dealings, you can never fear any police even if they threaten you.

Do legit work, dress fine and walk freely. See as thunder go dey fire any police man wey go wan harrass you.
what of the woman in Rivers State that was held hostage at a road block for not wearing nose mask and was later raped till dawn.. Was she not legit or doing legit business?

You will never know justice in life if you keep this mentality.

So because they are underpaid, they should carry on with their daylight robbery and human rights abuses.

Maybe private school teachers need start extortion on Thier students because they are underpaid too.

Werey.

Brandonx:
Let's call a spade a spade.
These policemen we see; most of them are underpaid. A sergent earning 51k, a family man at that and you expect him to arrest yahoo boys ? if that's his only means of making extra income let him do it in peace.

I'm not saying policemen are saint oo. But sometimes instead of struggling with them knowing fully well they would have something against you why not negotiate and go your way.

There is probably no day or week dt a uniform officer wil not kill one Nigerian somewhere over a seemingly petty matter!

There's no sane leader in d Force or in d Nation 2 call them 2 order over dis uncontrolled brutality & barbarity!

Oftentimes, one wil alwys wonder weda our govt & its agencies are actually for us or against us!

Things are really fast falling apart already!

I really do hope dis country is stil redeemable sha!

..........

it has been a blood shedding country since the Biafra war and there's no sign that it's stopping any time soon.......

those who fought for the unity nonsense cannot show their faces to fight against the everyday injustice

at the end of the day, whether by using another tag as restructuring, etc or not, we will still return to Ojukwu's demands in his quest for confederation during the Aburi Accord meeting or completely disintegrate. There can never be any meaningful governance in Nigeria where nobody is truly responsible for citizens' welfare but the country's resources only.
