Blackney knew what they were doing after all.. Time to unbundle the remaining UACN in my portfolio and move on.... We will still make it all back. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 10:48pm On Aug 03, 2020 |
If I were on uacn I wouldn't sell now. Just wait and see if they share the proceeds of the sale. Secondly, NSE is unpredictable, so don't be surprised to see uacn on full bid tomorrow. 4 Likes |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by meine: 11:02pm On Aug 03, 2020 |
Mpeace:Another round of Hope Investing. Una no dey tire? While Blackney was selling shares people were giving juicy reasons for selling instead of facing facts. I guess many investors in UACN didn't even digest the half year financial statement released last week. If they did, they would have exited the bus before this news. If I am not mistaken Loss Per Share from Continuous operation : 7kobo EPS from discontinued operation: 32kobo. Best case EPS scenario : 60kobo by full year. Probable Dividend payout : 50kobo or nothing at all. Ladies and gentlemen this stock shouldn't be selling higher than UCAP. Fair value is around N2.50 and N4. No be everything be FVE analysis some are just commonsense. 5 Likes |

TLAX: http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/31163_CUSTODIAN_INVESTMENT_PLC-CUSTODIAN_INVESTMENT_PLC_SIGN.pdf When you sign a binding agreement you should tell us the purchase consideration...at the least. Anyway, for UACN faithfuls this should not be a surprise to you because I had mentioned in an earlier post that the company does not have cash and will basically be selling assets. Don't expect any special dividends o. If there was going to be any Blakeney LLP would not have bailed out if its attractive. Let me go back and check all those fancy calculations people were churning out earlier. Maybe there is still redemption. A more detailed commentary loading..... 4 Likes |

Valueinvestor: I agree with you, and to top it up, some people here were too emotional about the useless UACN stock. Hence they will loose money big time.. When PapaEmma was talking about how not to trust the current management, people called him names here..they made references to how he got it wrong with CCNN transition to BUA... Such individuals know nothing about corporate governance in my opinion 5 Likes 1 Share |

emmanuelewumi:Oga be merciful. However, Folasope is a partner in Thermis Capital and Thermis has significant shareholding in UACN. They even bought more around February at about N8. My layman question is how is this sale to custodian investment good for them and bad for minority shareholders? |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 6:08am On Aug 04, 2020 |
rahjan: They are in control and management of the company, so everything will be good for them. The sale will give more cash to them, which they can invest or spend on behalf of the shareholders as they wish. They have sold a lot of properties of UPDC in order to be liquid, now selling part of UACN shares in UPDC for more liquidity. They should be able to get another N10 billion to N12 billion from the sale of those shares 1 Like |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 6:11am On Aug 04, 2020 |
I hope at the right time, UACN will sell their remaining 41% to 43% shares in UPDC to another group of investors |

emmanuelewumi: Anything related to TINUBU is fraudulent, corny and full of deceit. I lost interest after the AGM when the useless CHAIRMAN and CEO where busy talking trash without a single mention with regards to the unbundling. Thankfully I exited all my holding @N7 and moved into JAIZ Meanwhile I have already made handsome profit in the crypto market buying $LINK I am done with NSE until i see clarity with regards to exchange rate...I rather continue buying crypto with better return on fx for now. |
