Am still wondering who told those idiots that rooting makes ones phone develop fault.

Rooting phone develop some benefits, who ever doesn't root his/her phone is left behind...

I can not buy an android phone without rooting it and I have never ever experience any problem.

It is your phone. Don't let anyone tell you how to use it. Rooted phones do far more than regular phones. However, did you attempt the procedures I illustrated in the post?

No, simply because I am not interested in this, how ever, I am tech addict, I use to spend whole night researching and modding my phone, apps, more over, I am a programmer.

The process involves tweaking the color profile of the LCD screen, almost same way one slaps a 90hz mod on a 60hz screen.

I'm quite informed about burn in and its causes. I intend to buy a new phone in a month's time and it definitely wouldn't be amoled. Just wanted to have a taste of amoled for a while. Burn in is inevitable for all screens just that oled burn in is quicker. Thanks for the heads up though.

Well since you said “for a while” no problem.

Some people with little or no info might actually want to try this trick for full long term use without knowing the implications.

Anyone that wants to try this, just have it at the back of your mind. Personally phones I have used start having very little trace of screen burn-in in about 2/3 years but depending on your usage activity it can occur way sooner. Activities like always putting your phone’s brightness at max, making it display high color gradients etc.

Since your phone is Android 6.0, try using Kingroot or alternatively kingoroot. If both failed, then you might have to use a PC version.

Rooting compromises your phone, its a gateway to many glitches. Be warned!

If color tuning eventually achieves the same effect then what's the difference.

I'd say its a great victory cos you have a cheap LCD display clearly doing what an expensive AMOLED can do.

The only genuine concern is the very scary risk of screen burning.

This is just a gimmick. Op no pun pun intended. You are just adjusting colors and contrast, this can never make a LCD to look like AMOLED or vice versa. Those two are hardware specifics. LCD can never give true black like AMOLED because of the technology behind them.

This is why Amoled phones are way costlier than Lcd.

op, you can never change an lcd screen to amoled. They are totally 2 different type of hardware and ordinary software tweak can not change one to the other. A topic like "make your lcd display look like amoled" would have sounded better.

It is indeed hardware. Please ignore the Op. Its more like tweaking your LCD contrasts to give deeper and more saturated colour. Amoled panels are what makes a screen Amoled and that's an hardware thing not software!

When I see newbies post about rooting and custom roms on here I just laugh.

Turning LCD to Amoled
Packing 90hz into a 60hz phone
Modding 4gb to 16gb ram and 64gb to 1tb tomorrow

Rooting phones is way 2014 people don't do that no more, cos most apps have modded ones already, only low end phone owners see reasons to root their devices.

Make una no listen to this advice oo, manage your LCD phone jejely and save till you can afford an Amoled.
