You know it will be better if you join the protesters and bear the risk with them head on..
Anyone can hide behind a group and fund "terrorism",but coming out in the open is what matters most if you want your voice to be heard properly and will make you the hero you so much desire to be.
So why not join them so we can take your cause seriously?
If you want to better Nigeria, come back home and open a business especially in your field of expertise.
Barbarism and stupidity has never made any nation progress.
Vanderbilt,Rockefeller,Dangote,Rothschild,etc... all contributed to the progress of their various nations by creating empires and not destroying them by acts of civil unrest.
Vandals/economie terrorists will be met by acts of fury from the Nigeria armed forces.
Be wise!

Since the dawn of time, History has tipped the balance time and time again in favour of those who stand up against oppression and continually seek to make life better for the poorest of the society.

History has also defaced and totally erased the memories of such oppressors.

If I have 1 day left to live,I choose to spend it advocating against tyranny and oppression.

I do not really mind being called a vandal. I will stand for something. What do you stand for?

I stand for peace and building our various lives, careers and businesses one step at a time.
This is the same way the anglophone crises in Cameroon started in Buea,2016.
4 years after,no peace,no progress, people running from their homes and over 70k refugee situation in Cross river state.
I know guys who work for the UN who i can cc here on nairaland so they can come educate you on the realities on ground in cross river and the dangers of revolution.
Are you rich enough to send a private plane to come and evacuate your family when the revolution starts?
Do you have property in Nigeria?I'm sure if you do you should know by now that it will become hideouts for so called freedom fighters and your property will be seized from your ownership by the so called freedom people you are supporting now or will be shelled by the military with tanks trying to take out criminals from it.
I stand for capitalism and a fully capitalist state and a total eradication of socialism. This is what the north has been using to drag Nigeria backwards for years with their joblessness and lack or creativity.
If we go full capitalist, there would be progress in this shithole.
Don't follow jobless people and never do wells to incite hate and mislead the masses into a war scenario.

As the days go by,these guys just keep proving to us how jobless and unexploded they are.
Joker is talking about union when it comes to national security matters,lol...
Go and ask what happened to sesekou and maurice kante that thought they can overthrow a sitting government.
It's like you want the government to disintegrate that your rubbish Nupeng or whatever organisation you hold a very insignificant position in under 1hour.
Besides,I'm sure the narto is smart enough to abandon you in jail and let you rot there like sowore than risk their existence in the nigeria industry, that's if you even belong there in the first place.

I'm surprised you're surprised by it.
Not everyone understands why protests matter, and each time such things are organised or mooted, there are always the "don't rock the boat" voices telling us to sit back and continue sucking it up.

I wanted to encourage my workers and friends to join the protest today, but when I realised that the penalty for hate speech had been increased from 500k to 5m, I need to restrategise my decision.

If only we have a govt that understands the differences btw hate speech and peaceful protest. Buhari govt is not smiling, they know the masses are sick and tired of their govt and could be provoked to engage in a revolution.. So all the security agents are at alert.

My own view about this protest of a thing is it's baseless and unsustainable, the aftermath will probably be worst.
Just like someone rightly said, let's go full fledge on capitalism, where everyone will earn a fare share of his or her effort. If there is nothing like father Christmas in Abuja nobody will be protesting in the first place. What everyone is saying is come oo una no dey share this thing well, make una review the sharing formula or better still let us handle our destiny and give the central government some certain percentage, that's the summary of everything.
Back to the reason I said the protest is uncalled for, imagine our constitution that favours one part than the other, our electioneering system where you asked uneducated and unenlightened few to vote while chasing the best minds with cutlasses and guns, giving the hungry ones among us 500 naira to vote the person that will rule and dictate the pace of the economy for at least four years, what do you do about that?

I think it's better all of us less than 50 to start thinking how we are going to take this country back via legislation by actively participating in underground politics with a very strong ideology on taking this country back from the unfriendly few and given it to selfless people.

My little cup of .....

We need more like him. It's so easy for people who are benefiting financially from Nigeria to forget that people are suffering. Imagine if we didn't have some white people with their privilege at the forefront of black lives matter or if in the old days, no white person like William Wilberforce supported the cause against slavery alongside blacks, the problem would have persisted. He needs to be commended abeg. No be small thing. All the influential 2015 protesters don go sit down. Well done Mr. Ahib. I salute your courage.

Anyone that can't afford it should buy a diesel car like Europeans,Ghanaians,Canadians,etc...
Nigeria have been funding a false lifestyle of it's people for too long.
Not that Any riff-raff will go and buy large petrol V8 because say e see cheap fuel to buy subsidised by the government, yet they want the government to perform magic and turn Nigeris to first world with limited income and very large overhead cost grin
Enough of this socialism BS.
I only feel pity for the masses that use public transport cos prices will so go up for transportation.
It will encouraging local refining in all forms, shapes and sizes.
It will also curb smuggling and diversion of petroleum produce too, unless naira remains weak like vegetable cool
It will come with another problem;
Increased oil theft in the niger delta and the rise of cheaper black market products in major cities selling for almost half the price.
Dangote might feel the heat when he starts operating and adjust his local petroleum product pricing accordingly, otherwise black market pricing will so fùck him up undecided
Oil theft and black market fuel will help keep him in check, lest the money hungry monopolist will kill us with high price wink
No more subsidy and the problems it comes with.

No, this is not true.
Not everyone can physically join the protest. Some people will contribute financially, others morally.
Protesters peacefully demand for a better government and it's shameful that you mention terrorists in the same sentence.
I was in Somolu last week and i literally saw people living in poor conditions. For how long can Nigeria continue like this.
We hear 100M people are living in poverty, imagine a stadium is filled with 5000 people. Then picture 100M people and try to remember that each one of those are human beings (not just number)

Our Nation is in trouble, We need people (You and I) to Stand up and encourage others. We need a revolution.

I would appreciate it if you could come up with a list of things that the government needs to do to change the narrative.
