Please the date of birth in my NIN is different from my certificates and id cards. I don't use the NIN id for anything.
But now I discovered that the new international passport needs NIN.
And the date of birth I want to use in my international passport is different from the one in nin . And if I make the international passport dob to be thesame with nin it will affect other certificate that I have.
Please any info on how to change the dob on my NIN and how long does it take to effect the change if it's possible. Any useful information will be appreciated.

go to the nearest enrolment center with the following.

-The NIN slip
-original Birth certificate (fixed)
-Evidence of Remita payment in favour of national id commission (#15,000)
-Official application to the D.G requesting a change of your DOB
-and some or all of the documents listed below...
1. WAEC (must display dob)
2. NECO
3. Voters card
4.Drivers license
5. first school leaving certificate
6. any document that can substantiate your claim

Do also note that the fee paid for this service is non-refundable and the commission reserves the right to dismiss your application if found to be false or if you do not provide enough source documents to back your claim

Oga it's 15k. You will pay through remitta into govt account. You're not giving anyone the money.

15k oh...e shock me when I discovered sef and I have a huge disparity in my date of birth because of yeye NYSC that included it in my cert

Sad. I still don't understand why other forms of identification/ID numbers can't be used.

even with the payment of 15k, it takes forever for it to be rectified and corrected.

You forgot to tell OP, that he has to bribe before things will be done. Very expensive bribe. If he doesn't bribe, he will wait forever. Talking from experience.

even with the payment of 15k, it takes forever for it to be rectified and corrected without bribing those NIMC officials. Talking from experience, very expensive bribe. If you are not ready to bribe in order to facilitate it, you will wait forever.

Mine took 3days to rectify at garden park, owerri. Imo State without any form of bribe. I simply paid via remita , changes were effected on their system then I was given a paper with a code on it and was asked to come back after 3days with it.
I advise you go directly to nimc and avoid touts at the premises.
