However, I will make this comment....for over ten years, I have been seeing 'Biafra is comming, Biafra is comming' online .(It was comming in 2015, then in 2019, now the new date is 2023. Like the Jehovah Witnesses and their moving of the dates of Armageddon, Biafra is forever coming....)

To me, Biafra is a nice, lovely country...online. It has an army, a navy, etc...online. It has passports, currency, online.

And that's the problem.

The issue with the Internet, you can build anything online. Online, I see people shout Biafra, Oodua, etc, etc,....yet when it is time to actually do some political work to get there....silence.

In 2017, on this site...some biafranists were shouting Biafra, and posting pictures of mass rallies in the SE....then in 2018 when it was election time...95% of the biafranists suddenly became Atiku supporters....Atiku who was busy claiming one Nigeria...and who had said time and again that he would not split Nigeria...

OP....leave Nairaland, go and join the political process, and actualise your dream. You are wasting time here. And the same goes for all the other campaigners here., the 'We want revolution, we want Buhari out, we want change, we want Oodua republic, etc etc.'

Stop building castles on Nairaland. Go and do something. The problem with this site is, you can write a 5000 word essay on 'The Biafran Revolution', get over 10000 likes, and 20000 shares, and at the end of the day, it does nothing for you. Or your struggle. All it does is makes you feel good...till someone quotes you and blasts you...and the cycle continues.

Nndigbo, we have seen that Nigeria cannot work for anyone. Wasting our time in a fruitless nation will not help us at all. Biafra is the only solution to the problem that we are facing presently in this failed country. Imagine where we would have been if we have broken away from this country a long time ago. By now, our achievements would have been countless. If we continue shouting referendum and presidency, I tell you, we would continue shouting it for the next 40years. The Nigeria that I am seeing will never be fruitful even in the next 2000 years coming. So why waste our precious time?

The spirit of Biafra has always been with us for years but we are distracted. We should Unite for the biafra cause. Let all our political leaders, religious leaders, and every well meaning igbo put hands together to form our own republic. It is for the betterment of our future generations. Do you expect our children to come into this world and continue shouting referendum and presidency? If our senators and political elites are serious with biafra, we wouldn't be in Nigeria by now.

I don't think dragging any igbo community of the south south will be a good idea. Let us break away first and concentrate on our own country. We have all it takes to be a world class economy. Let nobody deceive us. We have risen from the poorest to the richest within a very short space of time and we can definitely do that again.

Misdeeds for which one would have thought they have exacted their pound of flesh by the gruesome murder of Ironsi; the cold-blooded slaughter of tens of thousands of Igbo men, women and children in the north in 1966; the subsequent genocidal uncivil war; the removal of large hydrocarbon rich parts of Alaigbo and placing in Rivers state; and the political and economic strangulation and marginalisation of Ndigbo that saw our states and cities starved of federal presence, and us not producing a head of state since the time of Ironsi!

Any daft Igbo thinking people capable of this kind of evil will one day turn a new leaf.....learn to stop being vindictive, and see Ndigbo as equals instead of 'conquered slaves'....any Igbo thinking such doesn't mean well for their future generations!
