Hey everyone, The names on my NIMC slip does'nt have a middle name but one on my local gov't and birth cert has a middle name written on them, will this cause an issue for me while applyin for a passport? If so whats the solution?

Yes but that will be ordinary passport, not epassport , and you can do that in festac office.

If I had realized that my NIN Date of birth was different from the one in my passport, I would have gone for ordinary passport that doesn't require NIN.

Know that they don't encourage DIY at festac office else you may wait for so long before you get it. I can give you a contact of an immigration officer there. He bills 30k to get it done within 3 days.

I will just forfeit the earlier payment I made for epassport and go for this one if NIN head office doesn't open officially next month.

I can never spend total of 45k just to change date of birth unofficially this period

I got there 10:30am and Left 11:50am... Very easy process...

But I get one question, how would I know when it's ready

For the enhanced passport, if the name on your application is exactly the same you won't have a problem but if it is not the same with your NIN record you have to correct the discrepancy.

After how many days processing ?

You can use your application ID/ reference No. Validation No. to confirm status on immigration website.

....the status was, and still is, “Vetted”.....I kept hoping it would change to ready & after two weeks I decided not to wait for a change in status...I visited & got my PP.

On the mobile phone line you have the number attached to your BVN, verify DND is not enabled by sending STATUS to 2442 (if DND is enabled, deactivate by sending ALLOW to 2442) then dial *346# to get your NIN via USSD - service cost ₦20. Copy or take a screenshot of the NIN if you see one. With your NIN you can print a slip from a NIMC office. To reactivate DND send STOP to 2442.

Renewed my passport today at the Ikoyi office. Pretty smooth only that I had to wait for a while for 2 IC to sign on my document because I had a little above 6 months validity on my passport. After the approval, every other thing was pretty straight forward. Captured and the passport will be ready by 10th August as stated on the collection slip.

I did it myself. I advice you do the same. It's pretty fast doing it yourself at Ikoyi passport office.

Please I want to get new international passport for my wife, I need insights on the right place to go amongst the following cities; Akure, Ibadan, Ado Ekiti and Osogbo...I will really appreciate it if anyone can suggest any center amongst those four where it can be done seamlessly within two weeks max.

It cost 500 and paid via Remita. Check NIMC website for more info.

Try to check if there is middle name in your BVN. My guess is that some missing fields (e.g middle name) in NIN record originates from BVN record.

THANKS! I enroll for a NIN way before i opened a bank acc so i dont think thats the case, besides i intentionally refused to use a middlename when enrolling for a NIN whereby i used a middlename for my BVN.

if you're planning to go back to the the French Embassy there might be a problem after changing it
