Hello Fam

I finally got my draft CAS today after I had pressured the school rep well.
I was supposed to check that all info on it matched with that on my passport and other docs and revert to them.
However, where they were to write other names/additional names, they didn't write anything. Just my Surname and Last name.
I called the school rep immediately on this, he said that particular issue doesn't matter.
I'm still not satisfied. I decided to wait till tomorrow before I send request for the CAS. But I also wrote back a mail to my query effect and copied the school rep

Pls guys what are your thoughts on this? Does this difference really not matter? Has anyone had a similar situation? I don't want any itch in this processes ooo abeg.

N.B: These universities are based on people’s experience, not mine. I do not intend to study again in the U.K. and have not personally pursued anymore applications.

Again these are just based on what I know from people’s experience when I was in U.K. WhatsApp groups. It may have changed now, so I stand to be corrected.

As long as your surname and first name are on it exactly as it is on your passport, you’re good and shouldn’t let ‘additional names’ delay the process.

I know Diamond bank does this (but for schengen visa). They would generate the statement and send it to the embassy, then they would give you a code to take to the embassy. You can submit this code also, but to be on the safe side, request for an account statement that would be stamped and signed by the bank. Just make a request as though it's a personal thing, this way you win on both ends

The customer care personnel might not know what exactly is obtainable or it might be a new policy for that branch of the bank to clamp down on their staff who do back door runs

The statement printed by the bank for personal and visa use are usually the same, no differences.

That's for your school. The moniker that asked did not mention his/her school or course.

Secondly, GCU is very slow whether you apply early or not and it depends on your department too.

I applied to GCU in February this year and I got a feedback this month. I had to visit students room website. And so many complained about GCU not responding to applications on time as far back as five years ago. Some applied a year ago (September-December,2019) did have not gotten a response (that's for the course I applied in GCU).

It depends on your course and the school you're applying to.

Actually I have about 6 schools in mind. Uni of Derby, U of Plymouth, U of Derby, Uni of Lincoln, U of Hertfordshire and U of Bedfordshire.

Try informing your bank that it is for your UK visa application, and insist on having all pages stamped rather than just first or last page.

Better safe than otherwise.

The excerpt referred to electronic statements. When you generate an electronic statement from the GTB internet banking platform it comes pre-stamped and signed. It says nothing about stamping of physical documents, so perhaps your bank's procedure will suffice. Or, ask them to stamp all pages for you since you want it for visa purposes.

Yes the student copy is stamped but was addressed to the medical practice where I work. Hopefully, it'll fly.
