Persons who won't dare to steal in a shrine will attempt to steal in church since they know that God is merciful. Why would any sane person steal in the church for Christ's sake? The church in its wisdom has already established "St Vicent the Paul" to cater for the needy. You can meet them with a number of your problems. They will try their best to assist. Again, she can meet the priest to see how he can assist financially. As much as what the woman did by trying to steal from the Church is bad, Im flabagasted that a Catholic Priest can resort to jungle justice by attacking the woman. This is not the Catholic way of doing things. Im even more ashamed of the Catholic Priest than the woman. Even people had to restrain him from really harming the woman.
