A place called Benin, of the ancient Benin kingdom which was ruled by kings of the skies, capital city of Edo state. Not Benin republic oo Its good ur knowing ur pidgin English it would help in communication with anyone anywhere in Naija

Benin is cool, welcomes strangers but kinda slow industrially.. Lol there are a lot of local religions practiced by the forefathers but its more history n culture now. Nigeria is predominantly a Christian nation with Northern parts dominated by Muslims. Yoruba traditional religion cuts across my own people as we all share similar beliefs, culture n history. But like i said only a few families still practice all those things. They're mostly relics, history and culture now. Why u seem fascinated by the Yoruba people

Things happen just like any other place in the world.. you have nothing to fear. Its safe here. Lol the police will not harass u as a foreigner they mostly trample on certain citizens whom they feel they can oppress n get away with it definitely not a foreign national. Skull mining,tho it happens in some remote areas, its overrated or should i say over exaggerated and blown out of proportion to sell news. You have nothing to fear from kidnapping really except u are targeted and for that to happen u must be a high profile person and known. Murders happen anywhere in the world its not the murder capital And as for cult boys they have their territories and only bother themselves. I wouldn't be inviting u if i know its not safe for u na. Where i stay is free from all those stuffs u are scared about sha. Although there are certain cities synonymous with those vices not Lekki where i stay

Like Lagos, imo etc. It warns not to go up near middle belt or whatever it's called or near the rivers area dwn east past port Harcourt cos of kidnappings n the north of Nigeria cos of Boko Haram extremists.
