Hello house, I have a small issue. I stated that I have a family in Canada but was not given the 15 points for "relative in Canada" because the family is an aunt.
Now I have an ITA and I need to prove that I have a relative in Canada. Can I simply remove this detail in personal detail when uploading my documents because even though I can get her PR card or citizenship proof, I can't prove beyond reasonable doubt that she's my aunt because we've not lived together for decades now?
Also it won't reduce my CRS score since I wasn't given points for it in the first place.

Please I need your advice.

Sterling revised their rate downwards and made the limit $100 also
Maneq:

Access bank NGN445 to $. NGN 335 to CAD. Limit 1000USD. Only bank with such debit card limit RN except Sterling (who charges aboki rate).

Or Dom account. NGN475 to $ from Aboki. Consider the turn around time to open account and receive a debit card (i doubt dom account debit cards are instant).
Having this will be advantageous in the long run anyways.

Is she your blood aunt from your mother or father's side? You can provide birth certificates to prove relationship

If you stated you have family in Canada, that means it was added to your FSW eligibility points, of which the minimum is 67 points. I'll suggest you should recalculate your eligibility points here and see if not adding your "aunt" still gives you a score above 67. If yes, then you're okay, you can just explain that you thought the aunt was a blood relative. If no, your application is ineligible for FSW and I would advise you to decline the ITA, unless you want them to reject the application and there's a chance to risk misrepresentation.

Please note that eligibility grid (used to qualify to enter the pool) and CRS ranking (used to compete in the pool) are different.

Hope this helps.

Factors that contribute your points. This is one you are talking about an aunt and sibling's points.

like listowell has said stating you have an aunt is 5 points under eligibility grid. if you take her out its minus 5. you would still be above the 67/100 requirement. Her details on your file is of no use to you or her children in future since they have PR/citizenship . https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/federal-skilled-workers/six-selection-factors-federal-skilled-workers.html

there is nothing you can do now, even if you apply for PR, VFS is still closed. so just wait for the study permit

permanent Residence Visa doesn’t need to go through VFS right?

Hi all. The PA is a lecturer with NOC of 4011 but I initially filled 212 which is boilogist( course she lectures and has MSc). I changed the NOC to 4011 when I realized that it fits more into her JD and the profile became ineligible to apply. Been in the pool since March and this is devastating. Combined CRS was 474 but upon, PA's birthday, it reduced to 469. I had to quickly create a new profile and enter the pool today, only to realise that we landed on 468 as against the 469 post- birthday. Any help? This is becoming frustrating

Yes my eligibility is still above 67 and my CRS is 478 minus points for "relative in Canada". Do I really need to raise a LOE or should I just change it in personal detail since it doesn't affect my score?

Yes if I take her out, I'm still eligible. Just want to be sure that I can take her out since I'm not receiving points for her.

the factors include age, ECA, ielts etc. But minus my aunty, it seems I'm still eligible.

Just wanna be sure I can edit my profile post-ITA and take her out since I wasn't given any points for her

Hello,

Has anyone submitted the post ITA application since they started the FSW draws again in July. Have you gotten any form of update?

I know it might still be too early to start asking but you never know.

Once without her, your CRS score is 478 and your eligibility is equal => 67 out of 100, you're good for ITA.

BCS is a professional examination that takes places twice a year and it can be used as an additional programme to earn more points.

The certificate is called Certificate in IT and it comprises of 3 modules (Software development, information system and Computer network technology) and that's about £130.

You have to pass all three (40% in each module) to get the certificate and the exam normally comes out in 12 weeks but the pandemic made the results of March candidates delay till ending of August.

There's a telegram group containing past and prospective students and a drive with the syllabus and textbooks so you can have a glimpse of what you are about to go into. There are also good tutors incase you aren't IT inclined and you need a help in learning the basics.

There are centers in Lagos, Abuja and other states i cannot remember. Check page 1 for more info and Google them. The next exam would be taking place in November, 2020

How can I be added to this Telegram Group? Also, how long does the program last for?

I saw on their website 4 years and a year respectively.

Kindly enlighten me on this, my other resort was to do an MBA program in UNILAG, but this option looks promising for me.

It's more of a certification that can earn you points. The next examination is in November this year. You can send an email to the email provided on my profile page

About the dollar thing, a banker advised me that it's better to hold my cash in hand than keep it in any Nigerian bank.

Well, that's what the banker told me cos I asked her if could transfer my funds after depositing into my account and she said no. It was her simple advice.
