If the movie files you copied are small files then it might copy, if they are large files (above 500mb or 1gb), the files will copy and many of them won't play.

Last year, jumia was running a promo. A friend saw one 500gb Samsung memory card for #3000. He sent me the link, as a tech person, I found it difficult to believe but I gave it a try. Ordered two of the memory cards (one for me and the other for my friend). It took like 10days before arrival since it shipped from abroad.
When it finally arrived, the first red flag I noticed was the absence of Samsung logo on it unlike the one advertised in the pics.

I said let me give it a try, picked mine and gave my friend the other.

I copied some files (about 60gb) into mine, it took all without issues and played everything. I was so happy, hoping to store more files the following day..

When I met my friend the following day, he narrated his ordeal with the memory card and I was dumbfounded. He had copied just 30gb files and the memory card complained of memory full. In his mind, I will manage it, after all 30gb for 3k is not too bad. The worst happened when he tried to play some videos, nothing played. Some music played while some refused.

When I got home, I picked mine, inserted it into my home theatre, no music played, I inserted back to the laptop, all files corrupted. I formated it, copied files again, got to 45gb and alerted memory full.

I just jejely called jumia to come and pick their property.
When the jumia agent came, I told him item not as described. I showed him the pictures of the one I ordered, showing Samsung logo and the one I received with no Samsung logo. I also let him know that the capacity is not up to what was advertised.

He collected them, asked for the invoice, (invoice wey I don throw way), I told him I can't find invoice. He said I should not worry that they will prepare another one for me.

Few days later, my money was returned to me.

Purchase protection expired yesterday on my Aliexpress order made on 16th May & shipped on 18th May via Aliexpress Standard Shipping (Singapore Post)

Today, I opened dispute, uploaded screenshots of the tracking details which was last updated on June 23rd as "Dispatched to Destination Country" and requested for a full refund of USD $32.85 but Aliexpress decided the dispute against me.

USD $32.85 is a lot of money to lose at this point in time.

Pls, how can I win this dispute?

Note : Orders I made after this particular one and were shipped via AE standard shipping (Singapore Post) have all arrived Nigeria and have been picked up by me last month.

Wait five days after purchase protection has ended to open dispute. If you open it immediately after it has finished, you will automatically get an invalid reply.

Lol that's usually the symptom. Files will copy sure but many of them will be corrupted or won't play. Even 1tb micro sd cards are very expensive, I have not even seen 2tb in that form factor. Talk more of 6 dollars for 2tb. I'm just trying to help him before his purchase protection passes on aliexpress, but seems he's more "knowledgeable". Infact the only way to deal with these scams on aliexpress is to buy the fake 2tb on purpose, run the test, report and get full refund at least even if it's 20gb you got it for free lol. The order arrived in about 2 weeks and I was happy. Plugged it into my lappy and copied some videos into it to play on my phone and everything looked fine. About 2 months latter, the unexpected happened. I tried to play videos on my phone as usual, but non played. Removing the drive and plugging it to my lappy again, I got the message that the flash would not work unless it's formatted. Trying to format it as instructed, I got an error message. The drive is lying useless at home now. Too much awuf dey tear pocket.

I order phone since 20th June. At 21 July the tin show shipped to overseas NGLoS, and the address I put no be post office, na school IAUOE.

I don't even give such offers a second look. In my heydays on AE, I had fallen for a summer sales offer of Bose Soundlink II for about 12k at a time it was officially selling for 65k. Item arrived and the weight of the package alone was the first red flag. Dude sent me a regular Bluetooth speaker with radio and SD card that was a poor imitation of the original Bose Sound link II which has nothing of such. That same day I made videos of the item and asked a friend who has the real stuff to send me pictures and videos of his own. Thank God globacom did not disappoint with their network. I uploaded the two videos and other pictures and got refunded sharp sharp. That same month I got the real stuff from an official seller on AE at a discount price of 45k.

That was my first ever refund on AE and I was glad at the news that I still got to keep the item, which I later gifted out anyways.

I later investigated the shop of that useless seller and found out it was newly opened for the purpose of that AE summer sales. It was closed a month after sales ended.

Same happened to a 64gb micro sd I bought. Funny thing I ran the test and it showed its real 64gb capacity but when I started transferring files to the micro sd many transferred with errors some video didn't play. My purchase protection had passed. I vowed not to buy a no named brand micro sd card again.
