It can only happen in Enugu. State with the most sincere people in Nigeria.

Sometimes I wonder the ethics with with which they train Enugu people.

Honesty, Sincerity and Integrity is their hallmark.

Na Enugu man dupe me of over 350,000 in 2005. That's about 1milla in today's money.

I am so sorry for bothering people here, please this is SOS, I was a bus driver with a private school here in ibadan, my wife is also a teacher there, and we have two kids, since the lockdown began in april, we haven't been paid our salaries by the owner and in other not for my family to go hungry, i have been doing labour work at construction sites all over ibadan because my house rent is due since march, and the landlady have been asking for her money ever since.
In june, she asked me to pack out of her house and i have been sourcing for money to rent a room at akinyele area of ibadan, but she use to threaten me almost everyday in full glare of my neighbours.
I got another place last week Saturday, a room, but the remaining amount to complete is 18000, i ran to bro and three sisters, but no help was forthcoming from them, that is why i decided to seek help here.
Please i seriously need assistance, my landlady is making my life hell, please any amount will be greatly appreciated, she has threatened my wife last night that she will throw our properties out if we don't move out between today and thursday.
Please i need help urgently, i am so sorry for the long story. God bless everyone . Thank you very much.

It it was bitcoins now that someone returned there will be no doubt about that person's honesty because it's not traceable but bank transfer is traceable even if she did not return it she will get her account placed on lien and she will not be able to withdraw and if by chance she withdrew it before the bank discovers she will be treated as a wanted criminal charges with fraud and her pictures placed everywhere with wanted label.

She had no choice. If she had spent it, they would nab her. Unless she would cash it n flee the couintry. She is not in any way a heroine.

She couldn't have gone away with it.

If money in that range don't flow through her acc previously, the system will raise flag upon receipt and her account will be frozen until she provides valid explanation.

However, I'm not ruling out the possibility of conniving with bankers and get it withdrawn.

Everything about you will always be about negative

Shey shey shey SHAME!!

Meanwhile, FYI, if she uses a bank's mobile app where the transfer limit is like 1m per day, she she would have been able to transfer at least 5m in 5days including weekends. Before investigation is being done as to that kind of suspicious inflow, the woman would have taken out at least some mulla. It's still a win win for her
Truly education cannot buy sense(which in this case is ur situation).

It was way useless, she can't spend the money, the bank will come after, because they will realise the mistake soon or later

You guys should learn to put things in perspective. Everyone is saying she has no choice, she must return it, the bank will come after her and bla bla...

Here is my question: Do you think if this money was mistakenly paid into an account of a 25 year old man, squatting in one bedroom at Abakpa, he will return it?. The woman obviously has no choice because he has a husband and children. Their life is steady and well regulated. They just cannot pack up and vamoose.
But the 25 year old will withdraw as much money as he can, disappear from Enugu and land in Lagos. Let me see how the police will trace him in the urban jungle of Lagos. Nigeria is a cash driven economy. As long as he can figure out a safe place to keep the money, he will have no use for a bank account again. He can only be tracked and arrested if he attempts to use a bank ATM again. With N14m liquid cash, who needs an ATM.
Whoever made the transfer is lucky it landed in this woman's account. This woman cannot run away. But many single men and women would.

religious indeed. In a country where an iman sleeps with wives of his followers serially and stealing becomes a commonplace in churches? My cousin was once a banker before he left for yankee. He was working in the winners Chapel branch at canaanland. The elders would bring offerings to them and dictate to the managent how much the interest must be. He said they'd put the money in term deposits. For instance if the bank says, we would do 2% interest with a tenure of 6 months, theyd ask the manager to make it 3%, 2 percent on the deposit would be what the elders would declare to church while they share whatever is accrued as interest on the the 1% upon maturity. Naija don spoil my broda

It is well.

Too much shalaye by her husband.

It is highly unlikely she would have been able to keep it. For one, any transaction above 5 million is instantly reported to the NFIU. Secondly, most banks would automatically place a PND on accounts that receive such high inflow until proper explanation on source of funds is received.

It is sad that in Nigeria we have to celebrate honesty rather than have it as the normal course to follow
