Bros she was only wise knowing should she touch that money, it will lead to a life of misery. 14m is not 20k or 10k mistakenly transfered and left considering the stress to get it back.
14m? The owner will surely Come after you through the bank, IRT ie IG's bloodhounds, dss, sss, olopa, mopol, army etc.

You guys should keep quiet, if she had decided to do nothing and allowed the money to sit in her account without returning it, the owner would have spent nothing less than 3-4 million naira trying to recover that money. Yes!

The owner would have gone to EFCC who would take their share before going to court to get 'freeze order' or 'post no debit' order on that account. Lawyers will also take their share. Her husband is a lawyer and could have decided to challenge the 'freeze order' in court, and the case will drag on.

The account belongs to her and you paid money into it, she didn't defraud, you simply 'kicked a ball into her house', you can't arrest her for 'seizing the ball' and under the finance law, no banker can transfer money from your account WITHOUT YOUR APPROVAL AND SIGNATURE.

So, the best thing is to be diplomatic about it, if such money mistakenly enters my account, the first thing is that you call me and and appeal for re-transfer, but if the first call I get is from the police or Efcc, then it means you have decided to threaten me for your own mistakes, be ready to spend a good chunk of that money in police and court, when the dust settles, you'll only get part of the money excluding litigation costs and police expenses which this woman humbly saved the owner.

Wisdom is profitable.

She couldn't have gone away with it.

If money in that range don't flow through her acc previously, the system will raise flag upon receipt and her account will be frozen until she provides valid explanation.

However, I'm not ruling out the possibility of conniving with bankers and get it withdrawn.

I don't get your point here, so you mean she wouldn't have gotten away with it or what? See you, a friend of mine got just 5m alert, he withdraw it and left for Canada five years ago..till today nothing don happen...so praise the woman for her honesty!

It was her mistake. She said so herself. All I needed was my 1k. This woman had the mind to tell me she doesn't have more than 500.
That woman is too stingy.
Probably why she lost the money in the first place.

If I were in your shoes, I would give her a piece of my mind.

What she did is the best and right to do as the money will not be spent unless she provide means of validation its a difficult situation but what she did is the best decision ever

This reminds me of one Sunday service at then Rhema Chapel Agbowo, now Rhema Chapel Bodija, when a visiting pastor from Lagos in his sermon said one of the miracles heaven still renders to his faithful children is crediting their accounts from unknown source like it happened to him and he withdrew it and cleared his debts because he prayed to heaven that his debts must not accompanied him into the new year.

According to him, few hours to the glorious entry of a new year on the 31st of December the year it happened, heaven answered his call and he got a credit alert from GTB headquarter which is unusual. He went on, a lot of people have returned (transferred) such heavenly blessings to bank staff and owners because of their ignorance. According to him, immediately, he saw the credit alert, he notified his wife who is a banker and she advised him against withdrawing the money. That it could be mistake. He went, on, that he ignored the wife because she didn't understand the mystery surrounding heavenly blessings.. He entered his car and used ATM and withdraw part of the money and cleared his debt that night. Years after that action, no one or bank has called him that money was mistakenly sent into his account.

Understanding Holy Bible, one needs holy spirit.

There are some group of Yahoo boys around these area that can pull out that money if they can get the account details where the money was paid into. The only issue is that the account owner whom the money was paid into would be in trouble because he/she would be their only target. Forget o,Yahoo boys of now a days are not smiling. You won't believe because u don't know. Many would say it's not possible.
