Just do a blood test to confirm the pregnancy and wait till at least 9weeks for scan. By then the GS, FP and HB will be visible.
I woke up in pain one morning at almost 6 weeks and went for a scan. Co existing fibroid were cause of the pian but that early only a Gestational sac was seen, no fetal pole no Heartbeat and I was asked to redo the scan in 3 weeks...those were the longest 3 weeks of my life I dont wish it for anybody else.

That must have been scary o. I got heartbeat at 5 weeks with my first. Was really fun.

Hi, I read online that it is normal for a baby to have swelling in genital or breast because of the hormones she got from the mom. However, you may speak to a doctor about it.

It was present in my boy's two chests/breast. Mom pressed warm water on it while bathing him and it dissolved in no time.

It was o my dear. And it was a transvaginal scan so I expected id see the heartbeat by then. My only consolation was I still had morning sickness so I believed all was well.

Like cinderella said, it's hormones and would resolve on its own.
I'd advise all moms especially FTMs to follow Ask the pediatricians on Facebook.

We eventually went for the scan due to much pressure from my wife ,we were told is too early for that,(her Lmp is 8th july)scan shows pregancy in the uterus(endometrial shows desidual signs with thicknessof 2.2cm) but just worried about the fluid collection in Cul de sac..is this normal?although the doctor said is nothing to worry about that we should repeat in 2 weeks time..
Ovaries/adnexa are okay ..Doctor confirmed pregnancy through the scan but said is too early to measure..your sugggestions will be quite helpful

Yes teamie, the folic acid in pregnacare 400mcg is small compared to the nigerian folic acid 5mg.
Even the iron content is small too.

I'm still taking pregnacare cos of the other vitamins available in it.

Tor! Thats why I advised to wait...unfortunately that few weeks will feel like years.
Let her just take her folic acid and try to distract herself until the repeat scan. By 9weeks all will be seen

Your Doctor will also guide you on the way to go about it. Kindly note that any advice contradicting your gynea's own needs to be discussed with him/her first before acting on it.

Secondly, Yes, You desire VD as against CS which is good but please be open to any of the 2 based on your doctor's advice. All we want is Safe Delivery, Healthy Mother and Healthy baby.
