forgiveness:

You have said it all. Lyon attackers were clueless once they reach the box. That can't happen with Neymar and Mbappe.

Anyway, I go decide on who to support when the game begins.

Neymar and Mbappe have EACH missed at least 2 big chances in their last two games.

NFF Orders Tests for All After One Staff Becomes Positive For Coronavirus

The management and officials of the Nigeria Football Federation will on Thursday, undergo Coronavirus tests at the Secretariat of the Federation, Sunday Dankaro House, National Stadium Complex in Abuja.

General Secretary of the Federation, Dr Mohammed Sanusi, stated this while addressing the management and staff on Wednesday.

He explained that this had become necessary after a member of the management tested positive for the virus.

He said,“Apart from him testing positive, I also had issues and had to go for tests when I was feeling ill and uncomfortable. But the truth is most of us have had contact with one another over the days, thus it is important we do the tests.

“I want to appreciate the Federal Government immensely for their efforts so far to contain the pandemic, and also officials of the Nigeria Centre for Disease and Control for agreeing to come to the NFF offices to conduct the tests.

"After the tests, the offices and the entire complex will be disinfected in line with the protocols of the COVID-19.

"During that time, offices would be closed and employees will work from home.

"When the results are out, those who tested negative will immediately resume work at the secretariat, while anyone who tests positive will be required to self-isolate for the period stipulated in the COVID-19 protocols put in place by the federal government".

Listen mister man. If you derail this thread again, you won't like what comes after.

I know you are only here to find Andrew so that you guys can resume your Off-topic club vs Club banters. Don't you get it that this is the Super Eagles thread?? If you wanna banter European, go to your Euro football section. Don't bring it here. Andrew contributes to the thread along Eagles lines but you obviously are here to distract him from that and see him derail further with you. You don't contribute anything Nigerian football related, all you do is jump in when it turns Euro-related. That won't be tolerated here anymore. There must be moderation and if you think you are stubborn and can do what you like to derail as you like.... The mods will do their job.

You have been warned.

Ex-Arsenal youth coach Anyanwu wants to handle Nigerian U-13, U-15 teams

Seeks NFF’s engagement

Former Arsenal Grassroots Development coach based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Marcellinus Anyanwu, says he has the experience to bring out the best in Nigeria’s U-10, U-13 and U-15 players. He wants the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to give him the chance to prove his mettle.

Anyanwu, who once worked as an assistant coach to Nduka Ugbade at MFM FC of Lagos, declared yesterday that the experience he has garnered over the years working with youth academies of Arsenal, Feyenoord and Universal Sports Academy in Dubai would be more beneficial to Nigeria considering the talents begging to be discovered at every nook and cranny of the country.

He said: “I need a very short time to confirm a talented player, and I have a special approach to facilitate my plan for Nigeria. I want my country to benefit from my great programme, and I am confident the NFF will provide me a very solid and reliable platform to groom the younger players before moving into the senior level of football.”

Anyanwu hinted yesterday that he was on the verge of joining Benfica Football Academy in Dubai. “Negotiations are almost concluded but a prompt and positive response from the NFF could see me come back home to contribute my quota to Nigeria youth football development.”

Anyanwu had worked as a National Sports Festival team coach with his native Imo state, and MFM FC in Lagos before going abroad for further training a few years ago

Kenneth Omeruo could be departing CD Leganes before the close of the summer transfer window, with Cadena SER (via Grada 3) reporting that La Liga new boys SD Huesca are plotting a move for the former Chelsea defender.

CD Leganes lost their top-flight status on the final day of the 2019-2020 season and the Nigeria international does not want to play in the Segunda Division for obvious reasons.

Omeruo is a seasoned Nigeria international, appearing in two different World Cups and winning the Africa Cup of Nations with the Super Eagles, so going down with Leganes could affect his chances of earning a call-up to the national team in future.

SD Huesca have a low transfer budget are are targeting the key players in the demoted teams - Leganés, Espanyol and Mallorca - to bolster their squad ahead of the upcoming season.

Having said that, Leganes parted with five million euros to sign the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner on a permanent deal from Chelsea last summer and it remains to be seen if Los Pepineros are willing to sell him at a discount.

Omeruo, who is contracted to CD Leganes until June 2024, has 51 La Liga appearances under his belt.

No. I am not breaking a rule. I quoted the mod just as I will quote any of you and say what I need to say pertaining to why I quoted you.

Besides, the message is for him and I needed the mod to see my message. I am very serious about this.

You should be addressing the fact that people here want to form stubborn and derail this thread and not telling me to not do what I am doing. Unless you also support what they do.

Oga stop threatening me, you no be my papa okay

You just come here just dey talk anyhow. I have been a silent reader on this forum for long okay. I don’t just contribute because I don’t watch NPFL and I put my mind following naija players maybe foreign born or local breed outside the shores of Nigeria apart from those we see on top flight football. If you know me outside here, you would know I am football fanatic. I don’t joke with football okay but I don’t watch boring leagues either
This thread has been great because I get to learn about Nigeria players even if I don’t make any contribution

Oga my own is if maybe on any UCL or UEL match day and someone come here and start an argument of probably Hazard and Neymar. If I don’t agree with what the person is saying, I would give my own two cents and there is nothing you can do about it. Na me get my phone, na my subscription, you can’t tell me what to post or what to respond to okay. Take a chill pill

Again stop threatening me, you no be my papa

Thank you

PPG controversy: Rivers United insist on second position

The Rivers State Commissioner for Sports, Boma Iyaye, has dispelled rumours that Rivers United had agreed a deal with the Nigeria Football Federation to accept its decision on the interpretation of the Point-Per-Game calculation for the 2019/20 season.

The League Management Company applied the Weight-Point-Per-Game calculation to declare Enyimba second on the domestic league log ahead of Rivers who were earlier runners-up to leaders Plateau United after PPG was used.
It means Enyimba will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League while Rivers will campaign in the less -prestigious Confederation Cup.

Rivers, however, rejected the decision and have vowed to fight till the end for justice. Speaking while inspecting the reconstruction works at the mainbowl and training pitches of the Adokiye Amiesimaka Sports Complex in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, Iyaye said reports in the media didn’t reflect the true position of what transpired at their virtual meeting with the NFF.

He disclosed that the virtual meeting had the NFF president, Amaju Pinnick; LMC boss, Shehu Dikko; Permanent Secretary, Rivers sports ministry, Honour Sirawoo; General Manager, Rivers United, Okey Kpalukwu and himself in attendance.

"Rivers United did not at any time agree with the NFF on anything and that definitely is not what transpired at the meeting. During the virtual meeting, there were lots of arguments on our stand; that we remain in the second position, which we rightfully deserve,”

iyaye said in a statement by the state sports ministry’s press officer, Daniel Nwankwoala.

"We called on them to obey their own rules, which guide the NPFL. We also talked about how the LMC used an inconclusive head-to-head, which ran contrary to the rules. We x-rayed the situation in other leagues across the world in the realisation that FIFA and CAF do not interfere in the domestic operations of its affiliates.

So, Rivers United will not accept injustice, we are ready to pursue it anywhere; the rules must be followed and NFF knows what to do. Amaju Pinnick said he is consulting with FIFA and CAF, we cannot accept injustice and it will be vigorously pursued".
