thank you sir, i have AL from THI with a letter that i will be learning online cos of challenges of COVID19, stating that the pandemic will affect visa application in my country. But i should make sure to be in Germany by January for the examination.

fancyto:
The earlier you book the better o.. Its risky to book late o, they already have a lot of backlogs in the embassy of people who have booked and awaiting response from the embassy. However, you should only book when you have gotten admission.
Is those people that book irregularly that is causing this problem for us.

Thank you and God bless as you response.

If your school gave you a letter of presence along with your AL
Then you should send that letter to the Embassy.
Also stating if you have applied for an appointment date initially. As they require a letter of presence for visa issuance now.

Can you provide a link to where I’ll send the letter of presence to?

Resumption of international flight based on the principal of reciprocity. I pray Germany lift the ban on flight from Nigeria.

When deciding to apply for AD through the online portal, Let us also put into consideration the fact below for CAT B students.

Therefore we will reset the B-list registrations at the end of September and at the end of March before the beginning of the new semester and delete all at that time existing B-list entries. New registrations will be possible again from the beginning of October / April.

You can send the letter through their Email, or fill the contact form by letting them know you have this letter or give them a call, to ask them how you can send it to them.
The thing is as Germany has stated it as one of the requirement to enter Germany due to COVID 19.
You have nothing to loose by sending it to them.

Hello Chief, what happens if the account I used to send the money isn't active anymore? Cos I sent a part of the money through a BDC and the other part from my domiciliary account but the BDC is already acting funny.

Helo brother... If u want to get ur money back from fintiba, its very simple if u follow the way I did mine and my money reflected in my account within 2 weeks...I didn't book any appointment, didn't even go to lagos, I did all that from the comfort of my home...
Step 1 write to fintiba through the contact form on their website that u want to unblock ur money..provide them with ur passport number and also a scan copy of the blocking confirmation

Step 2 they will reply u after few days that u need a later from the embassy that visa was not issued...then write to the embassy through their mail that u need a written confirmation for unblocking

Step3 Embassy might not reply u but in my case they replied that I should book an appointment on the consular matters...pls ignore the message..just write back to fintiba that embassy wants them to directly contact them....in that ur mail to fintiba make sure u include embassy phone numbers and email address

Step 4 After few days fintiba will ask u to confirm if the account u used in sending the money is still active...once u confirm that u receive another message from fintiba to give them 3weeks to send the cash back...in my own case it was 2 weeks before the money reflected.

I hope this helps...let me know if u have any other questions.... Stay safe

Please what email and phone number did you use for the embassy?

Just Google nigeria.diplo.de and then register for appointment date though they are not giving appointment date for now due to covid-19

You can also use this link https://service2.diplo.de/rktermin/extern/choose_category.do?locationCode=isla&realmId=108&categoryId=205
Scroll down and click on Lagos to book depending on the category you fall in.

Please guys is it really necessary that we start sending this presence letter to the embassy even when they are not giving out appointment date or is it by doing so they will now start giving the date. International flight resumption date is so imminent and let's hope everything goes as planned and they start issuing appointment date for visa then this document can be submitted along with other documents.

[quote author=Shukusheka post=93038143]Guys, please aside Germany. What countries are best to study considering two major factors -

I could imagine your decision to spread your options. And that's quite in my perspective very good. Based on personal opinion and research, there are many aspects to consider based on what you want. On affordability does it mean you ready to pay something at least then
Austria: relatively affordable stay back visible can easily cross to Germany N. B Visa one of the most difficult I have seen. Your choice.
Belgium :Affordable too great education economy cool stay back feasible too.
Netherlands: Awesome choice but I won't used affordable in light of this thread for me very expensive but great education as well, long term I find it easier to integrate both job and nationalisation compare to even Germany.
Switzerland: can't say much, pretty competitive society, great and affordable education tho expensive country but rich stay back in the long term not easy.
France: good stuff too affordable in some ways go for the national courses explore campus France for this others could be expensive. I won't advise you you to stay based on long term career prospects. My opinion might be different for you I never studied there I xray through the lens of contemporary happenings. Huge language barriers might beat that.
Italy: fairly okay education of course based on European standard I did a short study there at the university of pavia find the curriculum layed back and poor of course mine in the area of economics might be different for other subject. aimed for some top schools there. Stay back quite feasible but that country economy is suffering, still depends on you. Quite affordable especially in the south of the country tho much poorer your choice.
Poland: somehow I don't just see any special advantage here maybe because I meat too much poor Polens/Polish. But shouldn't be far from Italy.
Sweden: cool stuff too very innovative driven country I placed it on par with the orange boys. Netherlands. Affordability and stay back.
Finland: Not very affordable for me again on par with the swedes and Orange Country. Stay back quite feasible of course language barrier.
Hungary, Czech Republic, Bulgaria entire Eastern Europe. I won't say anything about them because even if I know I wouldn't want you to go there.

Now these are all random thoughts from my head not Google to get a more refined picture I implore you to deepen your search I do hope you have been Re awakened not to give up. Now there is something about most of us we largely go one way most times that's how Canada and US plus the Anglo saxons countries got difficult for us UK exclusive.
I love your question and I think that should be a better option to consider for everyone, for me I don't mind getting into an Italian university where I can even qualified to be collecting money from the government not paying yes you read that right make a switch when I am ready or pay the popular 750 - 1500 tuition in Belgien by the way Belgium got really nice standard education. Their product make sense just like Germany. Also if the land of the Aryans is your destination make a switch.
though at least my advice get into the schengen and I believe things will be pretty much easier to figure out.
Good luck in your endeavour and do not give up. Don't be anxious too I understand our country well.. Be well.
