Pls does anyone know why TLS VI costs more than Ikeja for an appointment? And is this increased cost beneficial in any way?

My school failed to include my Top up tuition I made to reflect on my CAS. But however they emailed me that the update has been done on ukvi site with a screen shot as confirmation to my mail when I complained.

The school advice I can proceed with visa application that the tuition paid till date has been updated on ukvi site, hence they cant give a second cas.

Ables, is this decision okay to go with ? Pls I need your advice.
Note: I have booked a visa appointment.

I had same issues with my school. Ask your school to include a sponsors note to your CAS explaining any issue. When I made same request to my school it took less 30mins,plus the fact that ur cas details remain same.

That's the cost in of the Tb test in $ but when you book your test, the naira equivalent (currently N57,800) is given. It's not part of the visa fee, it's paid to IOM via deposit or bank transfer.
Also, payments on TLS are for value added services for ease of submission and are optional except for the UserPay fee to use the VI VAC.

I did ask for an attached evidence(note) on my mail. But the schools declined and said so long the tuition payment has been updated on ukvi site that is the standard.
I resolved I will attach that mail advice to my CAS and also upload payment receipts.

Please I need information on getting accommodation in U.K. I will be studying in Nottingham Trent University in September for my masters program and I will like to go with my 7 month old Son. I will like to know if it will be possible to get accomodation to stay that is not costly for me and my baby e.g. a Studio apartment close to City campus. I have been seeing some flat share ads online but i dont know if babies will be allowed.Also,if School sharing accomodation will also allow. Pls advice accordingly. If it's self service, nobody in TLS will even ask you for the statement in the first place.

Please I would like to know if its Student copy of transcript printed online that applicants are using for visa application. Some schools in Nigeria only send offical transcripts to school and it is out of reach of the applicant.

Yes you can use the student copy but it has to be signed and stamped. That's what I used.

Yes student copy. Doesn’t matter whether it was printed online or collected from school as long as it’s not addressed to a particular organization and you used it in getting admission, it will fly

1. I already booked a date for my IOM testing and a link was sent to me to fill, in the link there's a space for UK address, I haven't decided on the place I would stay and also I haven't choose between two schools. What's the best address to put as the address space is compulsory?

2. The name on my passport is different from my new surname as I just got married and did a change of name, something like formal name: Shola Oladele and new surname Shola Oladele-Adebowale. Will this be a problem? Would I need to go to immigration office to change the name on my passport? As my husband is planning to join me few months after. So I'll know the next step to take. Thanks

I have an unconditional offer from UWE

They will scan your originals. You'd need a photocopy of your passport to be attached to your submission checklist to be used for your passport collection.
Large documents should be printed in clear, A4 colour copies without any defacement.

1. Which one do you think you'd choose based on probabilities? Put details of that school.
2. The name on your passport is what will be on your application and your BRP and your school will issue your certificate in the name on your BRP.

If you go ahead to use your current passport, your marriage certificate is sufficient to show a link between you and your husband when he applies.

If you want your new surname on your BRP, you will have to get a new passport and use your marriage certificate as evidence of your name change on your application.

Ideally they are to scan all your originals but they won’t put certain docs on their scanner like marriage certificate, laminated documents, or any document that is not close to A4 paper. So if you have those, make a clean copy of it otherwise they will still tell you to do it there. No need to make copy of the TB certificate, they will scan it.
Whether assisted or self service ensure you go with a colored copy of your international passport too.

I do not think it's a problem. When filling the visa form, it will ask you if you've been known by any other name, and you'll write it there. You can also upload your marriage certificate.
