I've got to learn in a hard way that when you lend a man money, you buy yourself an enemy and I've also recently learned not to enter myself in a financial commitment in the course of helping someone.
No matter the situation or cries, never stand in for another human in any obligation because the betrayal may drive you crazy.

I can easily recover from financial loss no matter the amount but betrayal puts a dagger to my heart.

When I was much younger, I sent a guy I was dating online 5k cause he was in need of money, such fuckery! How he was able to bill me and knock out 5k from me is still a mystery to me till date and we never for once met till we broke up online so I could recoup my money. .

I have lost a lot of money in several business deals that did not go as planned.

Lost about N2.2 million during the crash of the Nigerian stock market. I bought massively into shares of banks, Transcorp, Big Treat etc. The value of everything crashed before my very eyes angry

Invested N2 million in a business to supply sand and my business partner absconded to the UAE with my money

Invested N400K plus in a business to prepare and deliver food to offices in VI and Lekki. The business did not even make 1Kobo!

Invested $200 in a Binary options account and the account manager blew the whole money!

There are several others which I just do not want to remember sad

Lessons learnt:-
Scrutinise every business proposal thoroughly

Do not invest in a business out of pity or because you want to help someone

Do not trust a Nigerian business partner 100% especially where money is involved

lost N29 Million 7 years ago. 11 years ago, i lost $4,000 to Forex trading. 3 years ago, i bought a car i still regret buying because na police settle the matter the very day i bought the car as i had an issue with the seller that very same day. D.P.O come use me make Christmas money. The lesson I've learned is not to trust anyone.

Good friends pay regardless of documents.

My normal way has always been to document my agreements and have them notarized and left with my lawyer but that time I made the mistake of putting friendship above business

So one of my guy was posting screenshot about a stuff that supposedly paid him. Normally, I always ignore stuffs like this as I know it's usually a scsm but the guy was my guy and a 'guy way sabi'. So I decided to ask him howfa. He told me about the stuff and I joined the same day the 60k. Like I said before, I usually smell scams like this from a mile away but they paid my guy. So I assumed it's real. After I joined with 60k, about a week later, the scheme disappeared. Like that like that I lost 60k.
