Happier that Saka is not in it. grin Tammy will always get his Call-ups as long as he keeps getting some goals at club level. It's Tomori who should be worried.

andrewbaba44:

Happy for foden and Ings

Tammy is still there grin

Lol... Maybe or maybe not. But look at that list again and you will find that there no recognised Leftbacks in the team. Not even Chilwell. Lol... All the same, good for us for now. wink

He's not a left-back, he's just a makeshift. If I'm to rate him based on his performance so far at that position, it's be below average. I'm guessing that's the reason why he has failed to make the list.

He should easily make that squad if we are sincere

Yup.... Bukayo Saka NOT called up by Southgate.

Yup, if his desire to play for the Three Lions is still in the habour, let him not give up on it. I urge him to hold fast.

True. But he delivered solid performances from LB this past season for Arsenal and bagging the most assists (or if not most, definitely a good number of assists) for an "English-eligible" LB from that position so England not even giving him a shout for that position says something. And they didn't even consider Chillwell. That's worse. Anyway, it's their problem, not ours.

My only concern was to confirm Saka's absence from the list.

Sources close to Stoke or Etebo have leaked nothing yet.

Etebo is no small player. He was well rated at World Cup. Don't doubt his potential.

Etebo had an outstanding world cup undoubtedly.

However, he has not been outstanding in the Championship but far from it. That means he will not be generating too much interest.

That's the harsh reality of football.

Why didn't Nigeria win AFCON before the era of Odegbami?

What do you expect Odegbami to do when Godwin Odiye scored own goal in the last match we just needed a draw to qualify for 1978 world cup?

The same Odegbami was crucial for Nigeria winning the first international trophy in 1976. The African Cup winner's cup.

The same Odegbami got to the final of African champions League in 1984 but lost because the government moved the match from Ibadan to Lagos were they are not used to.

Odegbami was the first Nigerian to be nominated for African footballer of year. He came second and third during his football career.

To crown it all, Odegbami helped won the African cup of Nations for Nigeria for the first time in our history.

If you don't know why Odegbami is a legend and world class player ask the old men around you.

OK sir, Odegbami na the best ever player

Everton flop!?

You don't know anything. grin

Just say you prefer Ighalo and move on instead of downgrading Amokachi.
yep, everton flop.
The below was culled from his Wikipedia page
He remained at Everton until the end of the 1995–96 season, when he was transferred to Beşiktaş of Turkey for a fee of £1.75million. He had failed to make the impact at Goodison Park that many fans had been hoping for,[2] and had been unable to win a regular place in the first team, as Rideout and Duncan Ferguson were firmly established as Everton's two strikers at that stage
