Sudan already released a 29 man list that will be revised before their match against Ghana, If only Rohr will do the same

Our list is ready according to Owngoalnigeria.com, four new players are on the list(Ejuke, Sanusi, Bazee and Adarabioyo). Mikel Agu is making a return.

Modified: It seems our friendly matches have been cancelled.

Was the Championship the only place he has played?

He went on loan to Getafe, did he make an outstanding impression to generate interest for a permanent move.

I really can't say, only time will tell.

There's no point in making an issue out of it, both Saka and Grealish are two players we expected to see in Southgate's squad even though we only care about saka we know that both players had a good season.

Chill

Oh, I wasn't really. Not at all

They know they still have more matches to play this year and Nigeria has none.

Probably, they might call him for one of those matches.

You think say them no get sense. Anyway, my observation.

Now it is in doubt but we could play a game in October before the November Afcon qualifiers double header against Sierra Leone. It's not 100% shaa.

what about our upcoming friendly match with Portugal? Is the match still going to hold?

Wrong Egbon. We are playing in November. Two Afcon qualifying games. Double header against Sierra Leone. The issue now is whether we will play a friendly game first in October before the competitive fixtures.

Won't Saka need a switch of allegiance if he decides to play for us?

He will need to switch. Was capped competitively at U19 and U17 level. The last meetings with him was to try begin the switch. Details of that meeting still under locks and keys. grin

oh Lord imagine if it were rohr or some other nigerian coach who did what southgate did today we won't have heard the last of it. "bias" "corrution" "egunje" "tribaism" blah blah blah cheesy

tglobal:

In the manner of certain monikers on this thread, this inexplicable selection must be because of "egunje" or nepotism. Oh wait, it's not Nigeria, so the coach must have his reasons.....

Marvin wins the UYL Title with Madrid

Marvin Olawale Akinlabi Park has just won the UEFA Youth League title with Real Madrid's U-19s.

He bagged an assist for their third goal as they beat Benfica U-19s 3-2 in a keenly contested final. Marvin had quite a good game. I saw some good parts of the game live.

This is also Real Madrid's first ever UEFA Youth League Title win.

Marvin Olawale Akinlabi Park had a very strong finish to the UEFA Youth League and played a crucial role.

His G+A stats from the Quarters:

Quarter finals vs Inter Milan 3-0 (1 goal)

Semifinals vs RB Salzburg 2-1 (2 assists)

Final vs Benfica 3-2 (1 assist).

Update on Kelechi Nwakali

He played in a pre-season friendly a few days ago against Espanyol and he played as an attacking midfielder just behind the striker in a 4-2-3-1 formation. He played the first half before he was substituted.
There is another friendly against Alaves tommorrow and i hope he plays.
I hope he does well in the la liga. He seems to be gradually warming his way into the first team

I watched this game and I need to add that Nwakali didn't finish the half as AM, he dropped a bit deeper into midfield as he wasn't really seeing more of the ball in the AM role for the first 15mins or so and when he dropped deep, he dictated play from there and began to exert his influence.

He won the corner that led to their goal also. Good run out. More of this from the lad.

So he is actually a deep lying play maker who constucts the attack from midfield. Reminds me of Pirlo but i dont want to hype him.
He has to prove himself this year in the la liga.
Anyway i hope he comes up against thomas partey again and does what he did in that friendly again

Bukayo Saka just bagged a lovely assist in Arsenal's ongoing friendly with MK Dons. Game still on and Arsenal leads 2-1 after 66 mins+ played.

I am being made to believe that Bukayo Saka was indeed contacted by Southgate but the lad said no to this invite, that he needs time to decide. This is probably why he is not on the list because there is no way Southgate will intentionally drop Saka knowing that Chilwell is out injured.

The Saka Saga continues.
