Medical guys in here..
I got sick around March/April.. Had malaria and then I was diagnosed of muscle spasm in my tummy as there was a draw back feeling in my tummy whenever I breathe.. I wasn't coughing neither sneezing through out this period.. After few weeks I started fee pain around my abs whenever I tried breathing, doctors clinical diagnosis came back as lobar pneumonia.. Got treatment for that and it left. All of a sudden chest pain started, painful ones, I told my family I think I g covid but it wasn't looking like they gon believe cos for months no one was sick aside myself. I went to a doctor and he said I had Costobronchitis.. Got drugs and the pain left and came back again. Right now I'm having a hot sensation feeling from my back to my chest and my chest feels heavy. Chest tightness.. My family has completely ruled out this being covid cos they think it's been months and I'm still alive and no one has been sick at home.. Could they all be asymptomatic for 4 months plus? I called Ncdc and they agreed to the doctor's claim of Costobronchitis.. Thanks as I await your responses

If you hadn't already contacted a doctor you would have been diagnosed with covid19. Dem no wan cast.

Hello,

If you have random questions about COVID-19 or the Coronavirus, please post them here to be answered by our resident doctors, scientists and web researchers.

This should be fun and helpful.
What is the COViD outlook now? Any hope of its near end.

That's easy.

The elites are getting infected for the same reason a lot of Americans are getting infected.

Air Travel.

1.A lot of Europeans and Americans travel abroad for pleasure. (unlike Nigerians). And China , as well as most of the Asian continent is a big travel destination. A lot of Chinese also travel to Europe, the US and so on for tourisim and for work (Fun fact...several thousands of Chinese were working in a part of Northern Italy....and were flying back to and fro. Guess what happened)

Covid spread along the travel routes.

2.A lot of Nigerian elite travel abroad too...and some were still flying to Europe when Europe was still heavily infested. Buhari's right hand was in Germany for instance in March, when Germany was having a rising number of covid 19 cases...and naturally he caught it.

3.The elite socialise among themselves, and spread it among themselves.

4.Also, MOST Nigerians don't travel out for pleasure or work.

That's why.

What I know is that many have been down with corona virus even without knowing and have recovered on their own.
If all the people that have been infected with this virus should be admitted, there'll be no space for everyone.

Yes, but it’s best to confirm your status with a test because other diseases can cause COVID-like symptoms. The viral infection could be followed by a bacterial infection of your lungs.

In states like Lagos and Abuja, yes, but without an antibody test, you can’t be sure that you are one of those people. You might stop taking precautions thinking you already got it only to end up getting it for real and spreading it to other people.

If the antibody test reads positive, does it then mean you're immune to re-infection?
Re: Coronavirus / COVID-19 Question & Chat Thread by Wearabletech: 9:21pm On Aug 25, 2020
Yes and no,

Yes, for the interim, it means you have the antibodies. Depending on the level of infection. If you only had mild symptoms for example, it means your inflection wasn't serious, and possibly didn't stimulate enough immune response.

Yes, you have the antibodies, but might not be enough to stimulates adequate immune response to protect you against a more severe form of reinfection. So, no, after 4months your immunity may wear off. But then you'll be vulnerable like any other person.

So yes, coronavirus can attack your body over and over again. While there are variations, chances are, your immune system knows how to counter the attack of a recurring pathogen. Thus far, scientists maintain that ‘SARS-CoV-2 probably induces immunity like other coronaviruses’

People won't have to receive one of the vaccines but those who aren't immunized may have to continue wearing face-masks and distancing.

You have stated the Facts.Quite Unfortunate many people now are almost getting tired of wearing face- masks and distancing ,You need to come to one Particular market today in SANGO OTA. OJA OTA and see how people move, relate freely without face- masks ,No Distancing .So is the same in other Gatherings.

Thanks for the clarifications, I do really appreciate. But then pardon my inquisitiveness, what if a person actually recovered from a very severe strain of Covid-19, will he/she now develop full immunity? I mean immunity that can be likened to a vaccine.

. Good question .I thought as much as well .In US President Trump has called for the Approval of " Blood Plasma as a treatment for Covid 19 .The technique uses antibody-rich blood plasma from people who've recovered from the disease to treats/ cure Covid 19 Patients . Though the Virus is a New one ,still been studied ,I think the blood of people already recovered fully from the virus should have some antibodies so strong enough to serve as a tool to prevent reinfection and be used to cure it .

The Ogun State government has done next to nothing to enforce physical distancing and face mask usage in Sango Ota. The only people enforcing it are large stores, schools, and a few banks.

However, I’m only a little bit worried about people getting infected at Oja Ota because it’s an open area and the weather is quite sunny lately. Based on contact tracing, super-spreading is way more likely to occur indoors. The wind, and the sun’s intense heat and UV radiation are detrimental to the spread of the virus outdoors, but we need to wear masks to be truly safe.

When you wear a surgical mask, please use the nose pin to shape it snugly around your nose. If you do this properly, (1) the mask will move in and out as you breath, and (2) your glasses will not be fogged by the water vapor in your breath when worn with the mask.

Failure to do shape the nose pin properly allows air and the germs in the air to bypass the filtering material of the face-mask, which endangers you and the people around you. This is a big mistake that a lot of people are making. Please don’t be one of those people!

Seun, when will you introduce a feature that enables us to watch twitter and instagram videos here directly just like YouTube without having to go to their sites?

This would be a very good innovation, I think.

. Discovery of Vaccines I think is highly needed to Hinder the Spread of Covid 19 . The Community / Society we are Comprises people of Divergent beliefs ,Strange enough to some Covid 19 does not exist in Nigeria ,Some other group believe it's only the Rich that get Infected .Curbing the spread indoor may pose a big Challenge .
