Ronaldo left after back-to-back-to-back (3) Champions League trophies while Messi is leaving after a horrible 2-8 show. Messi is good, no doubt but definitely not half the leader Ronaldo or Ramos is.

It is one of the reasons he should leave because he has no business wearing the captain band but the politics won't make anyone admit it.

There is only one club in the world that can sign Messi and that is mancity........ Mancity got the 6 key ingredients that Messi is looking for to win again. They are;
1) the right wages
2) the right structure
3) the right philosophy
4) the right coach
5) A stable Management and board
6) A vision/ project

And Messi on the other hand got what mancity is looking for. That is, A big/key man at big moment and a club image enhancer/ marketing figure.

Guardiola on the other hand got what he needs to win champions league, and that is THE HOLY TRINITY comprising of Messi (the destroyer), debryune (like xavi, is the eagle eyes), I wish David silva was around But bernado Silva can replace him as the silky/flexible one (just like iniesta)

What's all the madness of Messi about?

What about other teams that had been losing . Barcelona cannot win all the time, you win some, you lose some.

If he wanna leave, let him leave and go and prove himself.

Resist the urge, bro.

Why Ronaldo left isn't the problem. How is the focus here. Ronaldo would have been branded a failure if he left without winning three UCL trophies in a row or any at all. Recall Messi had bragged at the start of the season that the UCL is returning to the Camp Nou?

Question: Would Messi be fighting to leave if Barcelona won the Champions League? Would Messi be fighting to leave if the scoreline was just 0-2 and not 2-8? grin grin grin grin
Ronaldo left Madrid because he was no longer seen as INDISPENSABLE by Perez, his OWN WORDS..
Had he persisted in Madrid they would have been used him for a ball boy,the Madrid way.. grin
Whether Messi bragged or not is human nature,am sure Ronaldo has done a few bragging in his own time and failed to deliver..
You ALL Ronaldo Fans are the ones that dragged Ronaldo into the picture..
Resist the urge to drag Ronaldo into a discussion that doesn't concern him. shocked

Point of correction. Ronaldo didn't abandon Manchester United. His leaving d club was already on d table like two seasons b4. I believe it was Sir Alex who delayed him leaving as early as he wanted to

That's not my point. Messi had also warned Barca after they lost the league that things needed to change drastically. He had been giving subtle hints about his dissatisfaction with the way things were being run at Barca since last year. All these, IMO, provide a context for his latest transfer saga.

And I also hold the view that CR7 didn't abandon Utd. But I did not brand him unsuccessful at Man utd because Barca demolished them 2-0 in the final, that's my point and what Sanchez01 is trying to say about Messi. Someone won 34 trophies at a club with over 700 goals scored and the highest number of assists, and you are calling him a failure. That's an utterly senseless statement.

The fact that we are critics is not justification to comment as if there is a vacuum in one's upstairs.

You just want to troll, cos I don't see how you are being objective here. Messi can never be a failure at Barca, a place where he won more number of trophies than the entire trophy collection CR7 has.

How can you be branding someone who won FOUR UCL titles a failure at the club where he won it, where he was the main protagonist in three of those four titles. Someone with SIX UCL golden boots at Barca. It doesn't matter whether its since 2015 or 2005 as UCL did not start from 2015, the last time I checked.

I am sure you did not brand CR7 a failure or coward after he abandoned Man utd for Real Madrid immediately after Messi destroyed him and United in the 2009 UCL final. I for sure did not brand him a failure.

You re just a TROLL.
Ronaldo left manutd on a high he might lost the last of his two consecutive champions league trophy but he still won three consecutive EPL trophy with fa cups on a row...what did messi win this season before leaving....at least copa Del ray might have been better but he won nothing.

then barca should cut it down. I don't know much about football transfers, but I think the money paid on ronaldo wasn't his buy out clause. barca should do something else he leaves for free next season. who will then be the loooser?

Messi is light years past his best and has no fight left.
He is light years past his best and still won the Pichichi for Highest goal scorer in Spain..

Its a fact that Barca has been a sinking ship lately however due to their strong propaganda machinery (media control) they have been white washing it. Had this terrible incident happened to Realmadrid, Le merengues would have been auctioned to the world & turned to a basketball team.

There is actually Real Madrid basketball team

So,maybe you should start the bidding on behalf of your club.

If there is a "man God" of football, his name will be Messi, because only a God can show Messi; even the name Messiah, starts with Messi, so am not surprised that people are calling for the sack of a president who is their own blood for the retainance of Messi.
Messi is to football what Michael Jackson is to pop music. There is no second best after Messi he is the only best (s).

Has anyone ever called for the sack of even an ordinary coach if Ronaldo decides to leave?? From Lisbon to man u to Madrid and to Juventus like ashawo when no de use condoms, they are just using him and passing him around like a pot of sacrifice
grin what do you think make zidane leave Madrid...plus ronaldo is not a dictator he can never tell a club to sack a coach because of incompetent players....he helps the coach wins trophies so that there will be no need for a sack...

Messi leaving the club will be the end of Bartomeu's political career and the move will cause a major shake up at the Camp Nou, from the board down to the players and possibly janitors and ball boys.

The Camp Nou politics runs very deep and it is riddled with corruption the size of our own government. Messi, seeking to play away from Barcelona is probably the best for him but it won't solve the issue at the club.

Anyways, I have to be thankful... I can't wait to see a Messiless Barcelona run around the field while Eibar and Osasuna show them. grin

and Celta Vigo especially grin

This was how he gruesomely resigned from national team after 2018 World cup saga.
A good player with tender mind.
Too emotional and ambitious to say.
CR7 left when the ovation was loudest but one Catalonia imp want to leave after Bayern dismantled them.
The difference is clear abeg.

U used d word "abandoned" hence my rebuttal. It was just to set d record straight. In criticising other critics, one should also show d same level of decorum u expect from others. This is d reason I don't "fan" any club or individual. So much emotions involved. I can make comments without stepping overboard.

With regards your comment about Messis interaction with d board& his warnings, its just shows how a club shouldn't be run. No one player should be ever be given so much power. This is d result of that outcome
