What is happening in Ftncocoa? Jamace any news? It's like some people's prayers are about to be answered. ![]() Caveat: Just an observation. Newbies don't buy except you know what's moving the stock. |

Willie2015: Below expection? Yes. ...management were clearly inefficient and a bit wasteful in some lines. There is a need to reduce some of their expense line. Very disappointing? Hell No !! I just wonder how some of us interpret financial statement. ![]() ![]() ![]() Again, earnings does not tell the whole story. ...it can be manipulated either way. Always seek to review and weigh/compare a collection of several key indicators to get a wider and better perspective with valuing an asset. Ask urself; Why was EBITDA margin(a prelude to EPS) down by approx 31% despite operating margin showing a net positive in H1, 2020 compared to the corresponding period of last yr? Why did shareholders equity(a function of a coys BV) print a net positive desipite a strain in OCF?(see C&CE) It's important to always seek out and outline the pros and cons in an average, flat, below expectation, poor or bad financial report, the same way u would for a good, above expectation or great report. ...then u can better compare and weigh the right mix of indicators, attach the needed risk premium before valuing the asset Look at the banks statement of CF and compare Nos, then read the NTS. Maybe then, u might begin to see things a bit differently. Hear this; This result brought with it less of a RISK than REWARD.(risk-reward run in view) At the current mkt price, WEMA is a giveaway. Yes, its a strong BUY !! Are there better banking coys than WEMA? Without a doubt, yes !! But that still shouldn't take away from the essence of this post. Everything will depend on one's investment personality and goals. NOTE: NOT an investment advice. My advise? Pls follow ur instinct. 1 Like |

jamace: OKOMU, PRESCO and FTN cocoa in one line? Reminds me of that song by Abba ![]() ![]() ![]() ...lyrics; "I have a dream, a FANTASY To help me through... reality And my destination makes it worth the while Pushing through the darkness still another mile I believe in angels Something good in everything I see I believe in angels When I know the time is right for me I'll cross the stream - I have a dream" But I just don't know if there's SOMETHING GOOD to see in FTN at the moment or if indeed there are ANGELS lurking around !! Just hope that those wishing to take that DESTINATION wouldn't experience that part in bold. ![]() ![]() ![]() ...caution. Regards 1 Like 1 Share |
