A former Managing Director of Polaris Bank Plc, Adetokunbo Abiru has officially joined the race for the Lagos East Senatorial District bye-election scheduled for October 31.

He was received at the All Progressives Congress (APC ) party Secretariat on Acme by the State Chairman, Hon Babatunde Balogun and other party executives.

Shortly after, he purchased the Nomination and Expression of interest forms.

A credible source who accompanied him to the party Secretariat said “The visit availed him the opportunity to address the party leaders on his Legislative agenda and plans for the district, State and Nigeria.”

Very true!

It's like PDP in the South-East and South-South too. I recall that in the days of Ibori in Delta State, once anyone won any PDP ticket, they started to celebrate even before elections were held, because other parties were almost non-existent.

In Lagos, today, anyone who buys a form for any major election (eg Governorship, Senate, House of Reps) under PDP is wasting his time. The political structure at the grassroots is damn huge!

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and picking sound technocrats are like 5 & 6. That is why he is the best to lead Nigeria in 2023.
