It might be that your battery capacity is less than 1000mWh.
Download hwmonitor.exe to check your battery capacity.

the laptop has to be serviced and the system board has to be cleaned away of the liquid, tea spillage that has corroded it. in the process of dissembling and coupling back the system, the flex Will be properly fixed back in place and won't fluctuate again.

My laptop goes off on it's own then I'll hear the fan rolling for a few secs then it stops

If I try to on it again, the button lights will come on and the fan will make noise then it will go off on it's own within 5-10 secs.

The laptop is a HP Elitebook 8460p.

Pls help cry

More like a hardware failure. Processor, video card, ram or any other internal component is the problem.

See a hardware engineer

does the laptop gets too hot ? The internal fan might have failed, so it shutdown the system by itself

It doesn't get too hot, I might be doing just basic things like watching videos and it would go off

The fan works fine at least it blows breeze out.

download speedfan to monitor the temperature of your system. if it is overheating, you might need to change your thermal paste.

Good day readers, I had an encounter when I was formatting my mini laptop system. After running the Operating System window 10 to be precised it got stucked at the range of 93% all effort made to finish the formatting was furtile, hitheto I cancelled it and start to reformat the window with the same window 10 at this time it stopped to format indicating no bootable device which I was directed to Hit any key.

Although I followed the instructions given by pressing a key but at this time it brings out a boot manager option where I was directed to click enter or ESC to exist after pressing the key exist it reads No bootable device please restart, and this have not go beyond this.

So I take heed to come online to drop this error to my fellow lads to assist me with on how to handle this, which have lingered for an hour to get fixed.

I can't afford to go through the stress of some incompetent engineer and bruhaha of computer village guys thats why I crave your indulgence to help a fellow.

Thanks for your candid advice. Looking for a favourable response

if it's giving the message that no bootable device found, press alt, Ctrl, Del to restart, two things are involved, its either your hard disk drive that contains the windows 10 operating system has been disconnected from your mini laptop, it's not properly connected so the sy,stem does not detect it. or you have no more any windows Os on your hard disk, you have formatted away your windows, so no windows for your system to boot into.

I don't think any software will help you recover your files at this stage.
You deleted all your partition the first time you did it.
Just get another Windows 10 software and install again.
