The problem is not reopening school next year but what drastic measures has government taken to put things in place! Don’t be surprised u will still hear same story next year! In a system where the head has no interest in education u can expect virtually anything! |

[s]quote author=Temitopemo6e6 post=93445371]Yeah that’s true reopening the university now the country is now open….we Nigerian citizens are too self centered,Kenya stopped all academically sections till next year, those students ain’t human also…the cases of covid 19 on Gahanna student is quite increasing ,Gombe some wave students already have that, now the families is now suffering for it…..why pressuring the government, the wunt be the one to suffer that never…..,a year of academically missed sections is better than losing a life…… the government should please not use a sentiment over losing a life….beside they was a war in Nigeria that lasted over 3years everything was on stop …..next year of school resumption is not bad….wish the government going to see this[/quote][/s] You are talking for only your own benefit. |

One old man will just be speaking for an intire body.. Time don reach to declare this ASUU educational terrorist.. If it's not safe to open school then it's not safe to be paying them their salary. |

In as much as ASUU might be playing to the gallery, they have made salient points. Why should universities resume when even the ss3 students are testing positive for covid-19.I have been in the hospital for about a week due to acute malaria and typhoid,do you think i would be willing to resume to school were safety measures will not be taken serious by my fellow students.ASUU is on strike, and for those insulting ASUU for going on unnecessary strikes need to be flogged.Where did all the ITF,TETFUND interventions in our federal schools come from,ASUU STRIKE.As for those of you saying they are fighting for their pockets,i will advise you to stop your daily feed of fg's propaganda.ASUU has created UTAS,a better alternative to the IPPIS that fg keeps touting. If truly IPPIS is the next best thing after slice bread, how come none of the lawmakers are using it. 1 Like |

Temitopemo6e6:Some people would read this post and think you're making sense, not knowing you're one disgruntled element who probably dropped out of school due to poor academic performance. One thing I know is that many of you against school reopening have one thing or the other against formal education. You're now taking advantage of covid19 to launch your vendetta against western education...boko haram recruits! 1 Like |

mamotalk: ASUU doesn't take part in elections. When lecturers take part in elections, he or she is not representing ASUU. FG need to do the right thing . If they aren't ready to fund education, they should increase school fees. |

jolyment: are lecturers not ASUU? does ASUU teach in class? it's lecturers that teach. the ones that partake in election do introduce themselves as lecturers in so and so department and so and so university. so ASUU partake in electoral process in the name of lecturers. FG might not fund schools to the sufficient level, but can the schools account for the ones they are getting. do you know how much they generate from the post jamb, pre degree, mba and some other business ventures? can't hostels be built and maintained from these? I still tell you that ASUU are fighting for themselves and not the school nor the students. 1 Like |

mamotalk: Do you that ASUU has told FG to audit schools account by sending visitation panels, but FG refused. The agreement that FG signed with ASUU is a problem, in the agreement, FG will need to fund University properly and pay lecturers earned allowances. |

jolyment: the 'audit schools account' will benefit everyone if done with good intention. ASUU are entitled to their fare share of wages I must agree. but the way ASUU are doing things in Nigeria is that they are more concerned with what will benefit them than what common man will gain. they are not that in love with human development as they claim to be but rather focus on how they will earn like Nigerian senators and ministers in the government cabinet. am not against their desire because is good to aim high. but what am saying is that they should not colour their motive all the time with the talks that they are fighting for the university and the students. no, they should learn to tell public at any time the real motive behind their agitation. |

Temitopemo6e6: I am sure you planned it to make the first comment.....selfish individuals that should be check for sex scandal...even the private universities that are running online programs many have not been doing well with salaries....talk of you that is doing nothing...you are not and don't believe you have a heart for the common man... speaking for your pocket!!! What are you professing...Government is better that you for showing mercies to support other sectors with palliatives. So, they should give you all the money? You even have two mouths...you come from COVID-19 but your sickness is MONEY. The students at home who is feeding them? Or in your selfish mind, all parents are earning like the hungry you. God will judge you all. |
