Prettyshim:Hello PrettyShim, In my own opinion, Its not advisable for you to start all over in Canada i.e going for another B.SC Reasons are - You don't have a Science Background in your high school most especially in your SSCE/WAEC School Certificate - Your age might likely not be favorable for another Bachelor's degree program , Age range to apply for a Bachelor's Program in Canada is around age 17-21 - You going for another Bachelor's program don't show any Career Progression and a Visa Officer would conclude you just want to elope to Canada through the study route which makes your purpose of study VAGUE - You also going for another Bachelor's Program will be questionable and raise a serious red flag cos the Visa Officer will look at it that instead of you to go for a Master's or PG.Cert/PGD ,u decide to go for another Bachelor's program, purpose of study will be considered VAGUE aswell 1) Your Best Shot is to go for a Masters related to what you are studying in your university And to get admission for a Masters in CANADA ,you need to to have a minimum of 2nd Class Upper (2.1) & also some other requirements you will need to satisfy when applying for a masters in Canada So if you still have the opportunity to get a 2.1 before you graduate, put in your best to achieve it, but if you know you would likely fall to 2nd Class Lower (2.2), then get set for a PG. cert /PGD Program in CANADA So you can do a research on the following Masters Programs & respective skools in Canada (since it relates to what you are studying presently) - Master of Industrial Relations (MIR) Queen's University, Ontario - Master of Industrial Relations and Human Resources (M.I.R.H.R.) University of Toronto, Ontario - Combined Master of Industrial Relations/JD Queen's University, Ontario - Professional Masters in Industrial Relations (PMIR) Queen's University, Ontario - Master of Employment Relations Memorial University of Newfoundland, Newfoundland and Labrador - Master of Science (Management) in Human Resource Management and Labour Relations University of Lethbridge, Alberta Visit the Link Below for Guides on how to apply for a MASTERS ADMISSION IN CANADA & Get a Supervisor for a Thesis-based Masters https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/111#90933556 For PG. Good evening everyone, pls I want somebody to advise me; I got admission for M.Eng in Chemical Engineering at the university of Saskatchewan, with a tuition of 6700CAD per year, I graduated 2015 with a bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, served 2016 and got a job with Dangote Industries 2017( Still working there till now). Now, my concern is more on financial status; I have saved upto 3m, my parents, are willing to give me extra 2m making 5m. The person I want to use as my sponsor is a Maj Gen in the Nigerian Army (not related in any way, just a very senior friend that likes me) that has a fat account but might not give me from it, tho he is ready to give his statement and write any letter I want from him. My parents are ready to co-sponsor me with a closing account of just 5m. Now my question is with all this, do I stand a chance and secondly can that 5m be enough for me to manage and find my feet in Saskatchewan?? |

@frankrobbn1 @Lekiboboe @rebeccausoro @Osemigho @JustMellow A friend's study permit application has been denied unofficially. Her first application was refused in 2019 because the proposed 2 years diploma program (Database Administration) "is available for less online or in closer geographical location." She upgraded to Graduate Diploma and reapplied on May 29, 2020. St. Lawrence College, Business Analytics, Fall 2020 Paid 1st semester tuition: $12,582.70 (CAD) Application Status: Eligibility review ongoing NO AIP or MER Age: 31 Works as Manager in Hubby's company Monthly salary is N325k Personal account balance is N10m plus Self-sponsored but Hubby is also supporting Hubby's account has N12m plus and earns N600k monthly GCMS Note received today shows: REFUSED Her husband wants me to help them review the LOE but I am not qualified to do that. Please, can the gurus help us point out what is "self-serving" in the statement? Thanks! 2 Shares

The children are 12, 5, and 3 years old. In the SOP I read, she specifically mentioned that since she graduated (2:2) in 2015, she could not further her education because of her kids and since they are grown up now, her husband feels she should go for the program in Canada. I can send you the LOE if you can help with the review zill001: |

Dos2020:I think you should do well in explaning why you chose to go for a graduate certificate when you've 8years working experiece which can actually get you into a more advanced degree. I see you submitted some professional certificates, International certification too. Why go for another cerificate when you already have those cerificates and some years of experience, The VO might feel like you're backtracking. VO doesn't see any career or educational progression for a graduate certificate after your 8yrs of experience in the field. You need to convince the Visa officer with strong SOP why you need that education. Just make the VO understand what you stand to gain (How it will be added to your RESUME and how you'll be promoted to an higher post in your work place )with the graduate certificate. Just proof how it will be an upgrade to you even with all your years of experience. P.S. : The above is no place an instructions manual but just a guide . All the bestest Sir/Ma' 1 Like |

Eficator:Hi Eficator, Congratulations on your admission to University of Saskatchewan. Proof of funds : You can definitely apply with 1 year of living expense (i.e.,5million naira- $10,000) + 1 year of tuition fee + some extra charges. They have accepted applications with fewer funds but its better to be safe from the beginning. I believe your parents can actually stand as your main sponsor while the MaJ gen can be your Co-sponsor provided he’s willing to write a letter of sponsorship stating why he’s sponsoring you, the relationship he has with you, what he stand to gain after and all. You need to proof that he has been of help to you in the past too, a simple screen shot of a certain amount he sent to you some years/months ago should do. P.S.The above answers are just my thoughts/opinions. All the bestest Sir/Ma’ 1 Like |
