Hello guys. Please I need someone who used mawista as health insurance to help me out.
I just finished getting my health insurance from mawista online and they sent me 4 attachment documents. Now the question is which of the 4 am I suppose to use to upload on my school portal for enrolment? I am confused and I don't want to upload the wrong one. Thanks.

I’m not sure Mawista is still acceptable in Germany cos of the pandemic. Be sure before using it. The school I got admitted to said it’s no longer acceptable

Hmmm. Thanks for the Intel but I have already uploaded it. Well they would let me know if its acceptable or not. Which school is yours?

That has been the issue since not just this year. No school will accept mawista, care concept or any other privates insurance company because its private and not government insurance company, but what you will do is to take your mawista documents or any of the private insurance company documents to one of the government insurance companies like TK, AOK and others to collect exemption certificate that you will give to your school

Thank you for the information. I have such documents from care concept. Please, what are the processes to obtain this exemption certificate from TK or AOK. I am finding it difficult to apply for the certificate because I can't see the links for such on their website.
Please I need your help on how to obtain the exemption certificate.

Thank you as you response.

Hallo guys..
I am tired of the rejection mails and to be sincere, it's becoming real fraustrating...
Started my application for the first time for this winter, was able to complete 3 schools, I have gotten 2 rejections at the moment waiting for the last one.

I studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering
CGPA is 3.40 on a scale of 5
IELTS score is 6.5

I'm interested in any Electrical Engineering related course(I just need admission).

At this point, I'm determine to start all over again for the summer and I sincerely plead for the assistance from the profs in the house on the schools that can consider my qualifications..

Danke!..

The health insurance is for enrolment to secure admission because once you enrol you are automatically a full student hence you can resume any time or even during summer semester and the good thing about the health insurance is that you will only start the payment when you come to Germany, so for now no money is involve

Getting health insurance certificate has nothing to do with paying money (with the way i got mine from AOK for enrollment). Besides even if they are paying money for it, is it your money? People are only trying to get stuffs ready just incase the embassy tries to surprise us with something positive. So stop coming here to make people feel like their effort and prayers are a waste of time(apart from those who are overly desperate to travel). "Minding your business" should be your priority in this perilious times, just incase its not on your "to do list".

Go to TK's website, chat with their online consultant, you'll be sent a link where you would download the application form and an email to send the form when completed. Make sure you have your private insurance confirmation. Also the form is in German, get ready to translate and fill. All the best.

You dont need health insurance for visa interview. What the embassy will ask you to provide is your travelling insurance and that one is after your interview, when the they have approved your visa, they will ask you to send your travelling insurance and international passport

I applied for a Technology and management program at TUM,i received a mail now of an interview to be held in september...Pls can anyone furnish me with the likely questions to expect....your kind responses will be greatly appreciated..

I am assuming you are referring to the Bachelor in Mgt & Technology (but if its the Master, see the last link below. A lot below does apply though)
First, congratulations on getting through the first stage. Here is my 2cents, hoping that you have not had the interview already.

Purpose of the Interview:
To check that you are able to complete the course at TUM. Also to check your fluency in discussing current economic affairs. That is being able to use terms in the area of management and technology.

How the Interview is Structured:
You will be graded in 3 areas: a. current economic affairs(3/5), b. natural sciences like math and computer science(based on your specialization but you don't need to know stuff that is contained in the course)(1/5), c. I don't remember the last part now but it accounts for the remaining 1/5.

So you can see that most of the grade will rest on your being able to discuss current affairs and their economic impact(think covid-19, US-China trade war, Wirecard scandal, etc)

How to Approach the interview:
1. Know your ML very well.
2. Prepare for current economic affairs, best source will be the wi.tum.de website's news section. The professors and faculty have published a ton that you can read for this. The trick here is to be able to talk about these issues with respect to their impact on the economy, management and so on. For example, stating that the country X economy contracted by 10.1% due to covid will be better than .. 'Covid has really impacted Country X'
3. Prepare for questions in the area of your specialization and know specific courses in this area that are in the program. Here also, the questions will depend on the professor, e.g a math professor may be math heavy, the CS professor, CS heavy... you get the idea.

My advice would be to read about current topics in the news and know how they affect the economy or different sectors of the economy.

Depending on the professor, you could also lead the conversation. This means that you might be able to freely choose a topic you want to talk about and then questions will be asked based on that.

The truth is that a professor may just follow your lead right from your introduction and ask questions based on what you said at the beginning. So it is important that you conduct your conversation wisely. Do not start talking about things you do not know enough about. Because there will be follow-up questions to every answer. Like in every interview you have the opportunity to lead its direction.

And finally: Don't be late, don't be afraid, show that you are excited to study this course at TUM(your excitement and interest is taking into account too). So try to smile.
