It's senseless to personalise Jesus' words at some point but generalize his words at some other instances based on selfishness!

If Jesus said "in my father's house there are many mansions.....I am going to prepare a place for YOU so that where i am YOU too may be" {John 14:1-4} and everyone wants to generalize the "YOU" as if it's every one listening, then how come they don't want to generalize the words of the same Jesus when he said "Pray for YOUR enemies"

If you carefully note the concluding part of that statement Jesus added "those who persecute YOU" Matthew 5:44

So Jesus wasn't referring to individuals Christians consider as their enemy in their yard, office, street or village, rather Jesus was talking about those in Authority who are against the preaching and teaching of God's Kingdom!

These are the REAL ENEMIES of Christianity! We must pray for them because Satan is using them as instruments in his hands to oppose the work of God {John 14:30; 1John 5:19} as the god of this world {2Corinthians 4:4} Satan is wielding his influence on this individuals in high places {Ephesians 6:12} to persecute Christians even though we're the most peaceful and law abiding citizens ever {Romans 13:1-8} these people are under the control of demons that's why they're making things difficult for their citizens no matter how they try to be good, God's word said they can't direct their own steps yet they want to direct the steps of millions under their domain! Jeremiah 10:23 compare to Ecclesiastes 4:1, 8:9

So when they find out that True Christians aren't useful to them during their struggle for power or support them to kill their opposers, they will turn against us!

TRUE Christians (Jehovah's Witnesses) don't support either side in Politics neither do we join in Racial dispute because we are no part of the world {John 17:14} under Satan's control who are destined to kill one another! Revelations 6:4

So Politicians are bound to hate and persecute us, that's why Jesus asked us to continue praying for them because according to him "they don't know what they're doing" Luke 23:34 compare to Act 7:60

Our neighbours are people living on planet earth with us, anywhere you find people know that they are your neighbours!

But Jesus gave us a totally different law that we must keep within our GROUP {John 13:34-35} here Jesus' command differs from the one he gave us regarding people in general!

"Love your neighbour as yourself" {Matthew 22:39} is for all people but @ John 13:34-35 Jesus told Jehovah's Witnesses "Love your fellow believer the same way i've loved you"

There the love Jehovah's Witnesses must have for one another is like to prepare to die for our fellow believers if the need arise!

The reality is that I believe in Jesus. If He says something, do it...
He sees your "avowed and unrepentant enemies" and knows when and how to deal with them.
