My pastor is on my neck concerning marriage, he's worried more than my people, his reason being that I should be married now as a man of God, that I shouldn't be a single mounting the pulpit, that he's the only one that allows it, other churches don't make you pastor if you are not married (winners does this)

My question is this,there are people of God in the Bible who never got married which Jesus is number one

Where is this belief coming from? Am old enough to marry but decided not to, is that a disqualification to serving God?

wow, so last child that was battling a spiritual wife some years back is now a pastor? I'm so happy for your growth and I hope you retain it. Your pastor isn't entirely right and wrong given your history and background. I'm certain his major fear is you backsliding and bringing shame to his church. However, marriage isn't something you rush especially as a minister. Not every lady is fit to be the wife of a minister. You need to pray and wait for God's direction before choosing a wife as that is one of the most important decisions you will ever make in life. So don't give in pressure. Just pray and wait even if it means not climbing the pulpit. Apostle Paul never married in his time here on earth. Apostle Joshua Selman is still unmarried and he has one of the widely known churches in Nigeria. Besides Paul said in 1 Cor 7:8-9,
Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am. But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
