With what visa are you trying to enter a foreign country with precisely? Because to "hustle" legally you will need a work permit or permanent residency for the country you intend going to. To get a work permit for a western country is not easy at all talkless of permanent residency which can take years. It does not even matter how much money you currently have because that money will run out quick once you have to start paying rent, utility bills and groceries in your new country of residence.

Too many Nigerians I have noticed have enough money for airline ticket but do not have sufficient money to live relatively comfortable in the western world long enough until they can obtain either a work permit or permanent residency.

In addition, Nigerians are not aware that immigration policies are getting tougher and tougher each year. Even countries that are considered developing countries are making it extremely difficult for immigrants and potential immigrants how much more advanced countries.

I am not trying to discourage you. I am not saying you shouldn't migrate but what I am saying is be realistic. I see too many Nigerians stuck here abroad suffering. They couldn't get their papers (work permit, permanent residency permit, naturalized citizenship) as they had hoped for. They have no money to survive and before you know it, they start engaging in crime just to survive thereby soiling the already damaged reputation of Nigeria further. There is a reason why foreign missions in Nigeria make it so difficult for Nigerians to obtain a visa.

Many of you think that we are picking money on the streets here abroad but that's a fallacy. If you are able to get at least a work permit that will enable you to legally pick up employment in the country you are planning to migrate to, then by all means make the move. However, if you are thinking of coming on a tourist visa with the hope of overstaying, you will be making a big mistake.

Many of these Western countries are voting in leaders lately who are leaning towards conservative, right wing, anti-immigrant ideologies and don't want people from so-called "shithole" countries coming to their countries in search of the proverbial greener pastures except if you are perhaps a professional with skills being highly sought after in these advanced nations, example medical professionals for instance.

So think about all I have said considering that you are already married with a child. If you get stuck abroad for years on end, don't complain when another man starts taking care of your wife's sexual needs. After all, body no be firewood. Your child also needs you the father. Just saying.

- From a concerned foreign-born Nigerian residing legally in the diaspora

I totally agree with you.

When u are converting.. take regard the country conversion rate of the country

U used the conversion rate of USA to judge for the remaining countries
A naira to Aussie dollar is 250 naira. That’s more than enough for processing Aussie visa

And a naira to Canadian dollar is 270, and 320 black market

That can go a long way in processing the visa
There are other factors to consider other than visa, how about accommodation, feeding, tfare used to convey you from place to place or is he gonna live on the streets.to process visa alone will use up more than ¹/4 of that money,it's like you don't know naija again they'll so drain u dry to just process visa.

Baba forget this abroad thing and invest your N2.5m in a profiatble business. In no time you would have made enough money and will be travelling abroad for Holidays only. Bleep this abroad thing, the grass is not always greener there. People are making it here in Nigeria period.

That is just about 5,500 euro. Don't travel to Europe with that with your family. Living frugally you will need about 600 euro per month in most European towns (much higher than that in the big cities). If that money includes the cost of flight and all, then you have to make sure you hit the ground running with respect to getting a job... Otherwise, you go suffer.

And do not bring your family unless you are well settled. It is far worse when you have your family with you.

Good luck mate.

You spent less than half of that. Was it just the flight tickets or inclusive of accommodation, feeding and visa fees? And what kind of visa sef, cos a tourist visa would not permit you to work and earn. And OP said he wants LEGIT
Please lets not be economical with the truth. That fund won't be enough if wants to do things legally.

this is 2020 not 2005 or 1990. for you to go hustle legally you need a job offer and an employer sponsored visa( its not about your money but skill you have), for Canada if you are below 31 with masters, 3 years experience, high ielts scores you may qualify for express entry visa. don't fall into the trap of paying agent and they work visit visa for your and you get stranded and deported later. or you can study route.

Bro, you so knowledgeable about this. Pls can we talk further. I am interested and met all you listed that is required.

Check your email. Thanks

That's just for a fun filled vacation. Talk about N25,000,000 and above then you can decide to move anywhere comfortably.

mtchew those ones na country?,he said African nations excluded.
First thing to consider when going to foreign countries is their cost of living, most Western countries cost of living is so high, that when you're not doing anything tangible to make ends meets you'll end up been more broke than u were in ur Country, but in some African countries where their cost of living is low and their economy is better than ours you tend to gain more and spend less, when you get a good source of income.
