Free advice; 2.5m will not get you anywhere in the western world “legally” If you want to go get visit visa and not return ... that makes you “illegal” ... so if you wish to do it the legal way, 2.5m will not reach you.

This is from my experience; 2.5m can be multiplied x 10 within a year or two if you are genuinely looking to hustle. After my NYSC, I moved to Benin, Porto Novo to be precise with less than that amount and the rest is history.

If you think Benin republic is a country you might want to move to legally and live a comfortable life ? Reach out

I can give you a few business ideas that you can do in Benin “legally” and turn that 2.5m around quickly... on the long run When you make enough then you can decide if you want to still go oyinbo country or not.

First thing to consider when going to foreign countries is their cost of living, most Western countries cost of living is so high, that when you're not doing anything tangible to make ends meets you'll end up been more broke than u were in ur Country, but in some African countries where their cost of living is low and their economy is better than ours you tend to gain more and spend less, when you get a good source of income.

But Nigeria was adjudged the biggest economy in Africa, so where does he want to move to again. Except you're referring to Human Development Index, then you can be relating with countries like Botswana, Namibia, Seychelles. These set of countries are damn expensive to live in...

Hope you know Nigeria tops the list of asylum claimants in Canada and they already know Nigerians are making up stories. Just tread carefully.

The OP should try the Student path to any country and will be fine.
[/s]

How will he go about this, in Europe, because America, Canada & Australia is completely out of equation.
How much is tuition?
Accommodation, feeding/upkeep?
Flight ticket?
Re: Which Country Can One Travel To With N2.5 Million? by Ceyacap275: 2:43pm On Sep 07, 2020
I live and work in Canada and I hope my views will meet the OP well, if he truly came here to seek advice.

I was moved to comment by those dropping country names, those suggesting student routes, some even quoting school fees and air fare..all on a budget of N2.5m.

While N2.5m is a decent sum in most part of the country, Nigeria; it may not command that much value outside. Kindly slowly read through these few points, if you join them together, you should be able to make a decision.

Please Note: I understand what the feelings are when you have made up your mind to relocate, so I will encourage you to please relocate.
I also understand what it means to gather N2.5m in Nigeria, so I will encourage you to keep your Capital Safe.

1. I had to pay N750k plus another $585 CAD (Montreal to destination) for my family member who needed to come back here just this July during one of the numerous arranged flight processes. Although Airports are re-opening for business, airfares are not back to what they used to be.

2. Once in a while I come across students who came in from Nigeria, and I can only say the happy ones are those who have someone else paying their fees. As a student, you are permitted 20 hrs of work per week. Minimum wage in Alberta is $15/hr but a shared room will be around $600 (when you get here, you will know what utility bills really are). This can lead a cash-strapped student to something bad.

3. Someone mentioned school fees as $5k CAD...please, which school? SAIT in Calgary costs $17k/ Annum for International students for a 2 years course. That is even a Polytechnic..Even some courses at BVC cost above $10k. Know that if you have a degree already , and you now applied to a college for diploma here all in the name of getting in, the VOs are not sleeping.

4. Also know that you need a PR or Work permit to be able to get a SIN and also work in Canada.

5. Do not let some fantasy-led laptop-armed people deceive you to use all that "huge" sum on visa processing alone when in actual fact, that is your total relocation budget. If it was that easy, they would be here.

6. Kindly take good care of your young family, do not let your plans affect them negatively in any form.

7. See you at the top bro.

Bros, from d responses u have given, it clearly shows that u are only giving information that u can't personally & practically verify. U are only talking about what u read. Which means u are lying.

Before I asked u what I asked u, I am aware of d existence of Alibaba and YouTube. I didn't ask u about those. I was asking about ur personal experience which obviously u don't have. U only ended up making claims which u can't verify. In all ur responses, u were just beating around d bush. U weren't able to answer one single question that I asked u.

You are still making reference to "some guys". U still haven't said y you aren't one of those who made 50-100m in less than two years.

You never ready. when u ready, u know what to do. I have met your kind many times. People like you will doubt even if it is Jesus talking to you. Your mind have been programmed to NEVER to believe what is possible. I am sure you feel I am lying about everything I have said. If Alibaba was not popular, you would have also doubted that one too and even say no site like Alibaba exist or it is not possible. Even if the person behind this moniker was among those that built the importation archive in 2013 starting with El Mateo and co, you don't know.

Mind you, I was only interested in speaking to the OP of this thread, not you or anyone else. If I had ignored and not wasted my time, you would have gone on saying he is lying...

if I show you my website which I use for my importation, you will still say I am not the owner. If I log into my facebook ads dashboard and show ads I run, you will still say I stole someones screenshot, not like you would even be able to interpret anything that goes on there anyway...

I am not the cause of doubts, go cure your mind before asking for answers that you will never accept as true.

U haven't said anything worth believing. All u have been doing is to be going round in circles and beating around d bush. So don't compare urself with Jesus because he wouldn't make claims without verifying them. U couldn't verify d claims u made or u thought u are telling little children that u will buy sweet or biscuit for them?

I didn't ask u to show me website. I only asked to provide answers to simple questions. U can't give specifics or tangibles. All u are doing is making outrageous and bogus claims and padding ur responses with what "some guys" did, website, Alibaba, YouTube...what's that? How does that answer d following?:

Invest d money in importation of what?

Is it so easy to make 50-100m from an investment of 2.5m from importation in a space of 2years? I beg explain how.

What is d "good product that is innovative enough and not easily found in nearest shop in Nigeria"?

Who are d guys that make it within a year? Can u explain how they did? Are u one of d guys? If not, y aren't u one of d guys?

Am sure this my guy will really be confused based on various options....
Please if you don't have anybody living in those countries you mentioned as suggestion, you are wrong, because this guy needs our advice in order to leave this hell called Nigeria....
You cant suggest a place you know nothing about to a guy who is trying to leave one particular hell. What if the place you recommended is not what you think of.
I saw somebody recommending north and east Africa, hope the person knows those places very well,as far as am concern those Arabic northern Africas are so wicked to the point of treating their fellow Africans as slaves eg Lybia...
Again, I have guy staying in Kenya, this guy is thinking of relocating back to Nigeria as a result of bad economy due to Covid-19....
I will advise you to wait a while until this covid-19 is over because presently most countries are facing economic meltdown as a result of covid-19.

You're right my brother. North Africa: Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt is already a no go area for Op. East and Southern Africa is damn expensive to live in and there economy is not as buoyant as it is been portrayed on CNN.. Unemployment rate is on increase in S.A just like his counterpart Nigeria. So bottomline, anything aside US, Canada , Australia shouldn't be considered. Moreover N2.5m is too small for relocation

for the people in this thread telling him to invest the money in Nigeria.

Please, i use God take God beg you, don't be unfortunate... someone has that kind of money and wants to run.

you that have never started a business in Nigeria are telling him to invest, the Nigerians in Canada, do you think they were poor in Nigeria?

you think 2.5 million will give this man's children quality education and healthcare in nigeria?

everytime someone says they have so and so money and want to travel, una go just come from somewhere and say " invest in agriculture", something wey you never do.
