Someone highlighted a passage where Jesus cursed the fig tree(not even in the image of the creator) and where he called Herod a fox.

The word fox means unclean or dirty dealings. Did Herod do so many unclean things ? Yes. Including killing of innocent babies.

Now the problem of the black man. You call somebody names for who he is, it becomes a problem.

Even that word; cursed is the man by whom the son of God will be hung ... These are proportionate reply; directly linked to the affected person.

Look, I'm not a theologian nether I'm I a Bible scholar, so I don't delve into scriptural issues based on theological perspective.

A little I know about the scripture is through the help of the author, Holy Spirit. And argument over scriptural issues is not also my thing.

However you are dissecting the biblical epoch or names given to era, is none of my business. But my concern is the understanding of the truth that tithing preceded the old testament.

We have old testament likewise the new testament, so what do they mean. They simply mean old and new covenants. The old covenant was given to the Jews by God through Moses while the new covenant came through Jesus Christ.

When Abraham paid tithe there was no law and there was no guideline on how it should be paid. But one thing that stands out is, tithe just like praise and worship, are what God demands from His people, irrespective of the era or ages. The fact that the old covenant provided a guideline on how tithe should be paid does not mean that same guideline is applied to the new covenant.

Bottom line: When I started paying tithe, nobody forced me to do so. I had a conviction through personal teaching and direction of the Holy Spirit, that's why I can't stop paying it, even though every other person on earth stop.
The Bible says, as many that are led by the spirit of God are sons of God. The best conviction one can have is by asking the Almighty Father to teach or reveal to you the truth about the issue.

The truth in the word can never be established through argument but by revelation (understand) inspired by the creator himself.

It is not a must to comment in all the threads You know.

One of the reasons you hear statements from some men of God that is not consistent with the Christian nature is because they nurture the Christian life with old testament doctrines and teachings based on the Law of Moses.

The Law of Moses teaches you to revenge but Christ tells you to love your enemies. There is no way you can manifest the life of Christ when you dwell on the old testament.

And the congregation he is raising are like him because they are feeding from the same source.

If you live your life based on the teachings of our Lord Jesus and his Apostles, it will modeled your life to be like that of Christ.

I therefore urge Pastor Ibiyeome and many like him to focus on the teachings of Jesus and not the old testament doctrines based on the Law of Moses. He should stop this prayer of vengeance. Because it has a way of taking you away from the life of Christ.

Pastor David spoke out in anger in defense of His Father! Anybody will defend his father! No matter how quiet you are,you will act furious over the repetitive insult of your biological father by anybody! Peter was in physical defense of Jesus!Daddy Freeze is even lucky because if his matter has been taken spiritually he will not remain the same again as he will only see the effect but not knowing where it came from! Jesus said whoever you forgive is forgiven but whoever you condemn is condemn!
An example i can recall happened years back when someone came to our pastor for forgiveness,according to him he only spoke some wrong words against the man of God after which his mouth started smelling like toilet,all these happened without the pastors notice. All effort to treat it both medically and otherwise prove abortive,so he started visiting various churches as a last resort to his predicament. Finally,he met a particular man of God who told that his trouble started the day he insulted so so man of God and that he cant pray for him only that man of he insulted can pray for him and he will be healed!Anyway,he came,he was prayed for and got healed
Another woman insulted a man of God and next thing.........her marital life too drastic change as she began suffering severe pain every time she had intercourse with her husband. She shared the horror experience herself! So many people are suffering from such situation today!We need to be careful the way we attack Gods anointed! Some fellows talked against Moses and they suffered the effect!
