Good day guys, gurus in the house help me decipher my gcmsnotes o, just got it today after applying since April, on the eligibility part, I saw recommend interview and I don't think Nigeria does interview for visa application. Guys pls kindly explain what does that means ?

IRCC would call you or send you an email for your interview date. There's something confusing in your application. You would be interviewed in Lagos, the interview is straightforward, go with any supporting documents. They would ask you some quick random questions in your application, answer it correctly, and be bold. Your eyes contact and body movement matters a lot. Make sure you go with your passport cause if you pass it, they would stamp your counterfoil at that spot of time. That's if you've done your medical or upfront. Sometimes, they might just refuse your visa without going for the interview or going further, sometimes they may ask you to submit some documentation to support your claims.

All these can be avoided if you apply for GCMS and tackle the concern being raised in your application.

Good luck

Dear Nairalanders,
I applied for Canada study visa but was denied. Sir to Covid-19 pandemic leading to business lockdown and restrictions as you know I havent been able to retrieve my passport from vfs office and Canadian embassy.
Due to urgent need for application to another country I am planning to declare the passport missing then replace it at passport office following the process. Someone had told me that that can land me on travel ban for 5 years.
Do you think same too? Do you think there could be huge penalties to That? Please advice me candidly!

Thanks for your usual assistance, I'm still counting on you.

Applying for a New Passport that has been declared missing is only approved in Abuja. The process is not a short one. Your passport may be out by the time you get a new one. They will tell you 3 weeks, but it took my own t4 months, after threatening fire and brimstone. I did not include the 3 months of lock down. Good luck, the decision is yours.

Tanks so much. Pls I need to know if I need to wait to get a letter from ircc b4 going 4 medicals as I have submitted my online visa application since May but no medical request yet. I actually call one of the hospitals in lagos and they said that since I have already applied that I need to wait for a response from ircc b4 I can go 4 medicals. Am just abit worried cos I don't know if its true or I can just go ahead with the medicals and if I do how do I send it across to them. Thanks for your care cheers

He didn't say his note doesn't explain why he needs an interview.
Eligibility: interview required.
(it's a different thing entirely on page 2).besides if his note doesn't say anything in the VOs comment.
GCMS contains more than 20 pages.
He has to trace how his application is being transferred to VOs. he will find the VO that is requesting for an interview and the document.
Then the rest is up to him. If he addresses the issue, wait till one week and apply for another gcms.

He can as well, request for an interview date.

You paid for it, you're entitled to ask why you haven't received a biometric request prior to 24hr of submitting your application.

Send a webform to IRCC, you will get it in no time.

Hello all,

After submitting my biometrics, I got a tracking number so I decided to track my application. And this is what I received. I haven't submitted my passport or anything. What does it mean?

Could somebody please help with this??
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Tenianu: 5:40pm On Sep 07, 2020
From my experience: Once your biometrics is done, check your online account your biometrics details would have been updated.

The below tracking does not track anything as you did not submit your passport. Please check your account for your biometrics number which will show expiry date as well.

Hope this helps

Hello pee2jay9, I am trying to go through the notes to see what documents they need to assess me but at the end of the notes I saw one comment from the VO that say I am satisfied the applicant will depart from Canada after his studies, FINDEC to be entered once assessment is complete. Any idea what this means

Hello everyone!
Please I'm new on this platform... Someone advised me to join...

I need your candid advice..

I graduated in 2013, HND upper credit in petroleum and gas processing engineering..(I will be applying for Chemical engineering)

I want to apply for a post graduate diploma in Canada.. I must admit that I may not have adequate fund required to thread on this path..

So my questions now are these: Is it possible to get any form of scholarships for PGD?

Do I need to do WES in other to be eligible to apply?

Will I be able to manage Altleast #2m naira over there in Canada..
Lastly do I need my Waec certificate to be able to apply and do I also need the Waec certificate at the embassy.. (my Waec certificate has lost... Though I can get an attestation copy if necessary)

Thanks in advance.

Let them do their job, don't panic. it would reflect in your application.
If you want, You can send your biometric confirmation just to remind IRCC.

Asides from his main VO, the secondary VO has seen something. if he go for the interview and he pass it, his Visa would be stamped immediately same day with his passport.

Good day everyone
Please I would like to know your opinion on my matter...

I applied since May 30th.. done biometrics and upfront medicals but yet to receive any update from IRCC .
My concern here is I gained admission into U of M for winter 2020 so this September is the last date for registeration I was given. At this point is it possible to defer to january( maybe due to the delay because of pandemic their rules may have changed?)
Or if it isn't possible to defer, and I apply for admission for winter next year would this affect my application??
Please whatever opinions you guys have I'm eager to hear them.
Thanks and God bless as you think of ways of helping my situation.

Good evening house, for someone who application was rejected before biometrics, is it still advisable to go for biometrics? Biometrics was scheduled weeks ago shortly after receiving the instruction but the application came back as denied for several reasons. Should the person still consider going for biometrics? Thank you
