Re: Importation Business by TechSkill: 3:16pm On Sep 09, 2020 |
Carmal90:as long as you are doing it once. You can tell the seller that he should create order for 2-5 and that it is just samples. Tell the seller that if it is good and sells well, you will come back and order for more. Chinese are serious business people, dem no send o. Inside pandemic, Indians were saying Boycott China... do you know what Chinese did? They manufactured tshirts, caps, facemask with "Boycott China" on them and sold it to Indians 11 Likes 4 Shares |

While the Black Market dollar exchange is #445 chrisvicmall is exchanging for #460 as at this morning. Am I missing something or is it a way to rip the mini importers off? |
Re: Importation Business by TechSkill: 5:06pm On Sep 10, 2020 |
Evilgenuis:lol... they must make profit na. remember they are sourcing for the dollar too. Today, I paid twice for one small order. I already have one that will arrive next week but had to order additional so that before it arrive, I would have sold the first one off... max 5 days, I should be done selling all. This dollar scarcity is not funny at all and I am thinking of applying for cards at all banks I have account as well as using friend's 1 Like |

Fortunate25: The summary is that you need a website to execute this model of eCommerce and that is what you need the domain name and the webhost for. No, it must not be dot com. |
Re: Importation Business by TechSkill: 5:44pm On Sep 11, 2020 |

Thank you TechSkill for all you do. I've been following your posts for sometime now. However, we can all join a WhatsApp group where we can discuss and share ideas aswell. For noobs, I'd advice you don't spend a dime importing anything for now due to the exchange rate. If you want to import, just import hundreds of a particular product. Of course, you must have done your own research to know a hot selling product. Find a hot selling product and head to to get it locally. Run traffic to your landing page and adopt a dropshipping method (you source locally from jiji, add your mark up and send directly to the customer). Wash. Rinse. Repeat. For landing pages, you can use mailchimp, getresponse or carrd.io For logistics services, open an ecommercce account with GOD IS GOOD LOGISTICS. If you need logistics that do same day delivery in Lagos, you can reach out to me. For Facebook ads, goto trafficmastery.ng. TechSkill, we really need to talk. There's something I'm working on and it'd be of great benefit to the community. Cheers !! 7 Likes 1 Share |

ecomalchemist: Na God oo. I no plan this thing but I wanted to prove some doubting thomases wrong when I told them what is possible with eCommerce. What they don't realise is that people WILL ALWAYS BUY things, no matter what. It is your job to put your tray so that you can collect their money. if you are using God Is Good, do they collect money on your behalf from buyers? Last time I tried to use them, I discovered they are expensive. So what I usually do is use other unknown transport vehicles heading to, say, the North. My agent there will collect it from them and distribute for me. For the exchange rate, I have decided that I will get card at all my banks, as long as they still allow $100. I don't mind opening extra bank accounts at each of them so that I can get 2 cards per bank, while using some friend's card too. On Alibaba, I will tell seller to split payment. If I am paying $500-$1000, I will go $100 each until I complete the payment and seller will send me the package as whole. I could repeat same process for Facebook ads by pausing the ads before it exceed max $100 limit, Pay and continue using it. 1 Like |

Re: Importation Business by ecomalchemist(m): 7:10pm On Sep 11, 2020 |
TechSkill: lol, you are absolutely correct. Nigeria is a consumer society and we don't produce anything. The eCommerce game is here to stay for a very long time. I strictly use 1688, i no fit shout, lol. I imported a particular product for less than $2 and sold it here in Nigeria for 10k inclusive of free deliver to customers doorstep. GIGL is quite expensive no doubt about that but they're efficient and helps boost my brand. They receive payment on your behalf and charge a fee though. However I think I'd look into using local courier services so as to save cost on deliveries because its really eating deep into my profit. Are you in Lagos ? We can work on a whatsapp / telegram dropshipping store that will fetch money daily. |
Re: Importation Business by TechSkill: 7:11pm On Sep 11, 2020 |
bamidele89:Just stick to Alibaba. The price are not too different. It is same. If you doubt me, check it out. Using 1688.com comes at a disadvantage because you won't understand what is written there (chinese) and you would need Chinese agent to help you buy from there. But Alibaba, you can handle it by yourself, save money that could have gone to agent, have peace because it is written in English. It is safe to say that 1688.com is just the chinese version of Alibaba, price-wise 1 Like |
