I would have loved to take the GRE, this year.
But I'm already out of time. I don't think I will be able to make it in time for next fall, as its almost deadline for the last exams this year. Too short a time to prepare.

You can go ahead and register for your exams. I wrote mine july 29th, Dragnet centre at Victoria island.

Just go along with your necessary documents and you face mask, please take the one that would enable you breath easily, because you have to wear the mask during the exams. Goodluck.

For seasoned guys in the house. Do you think one month is enough to prepare and ace the GRE, on average.
I know this question does not have a definite answer as individual abilities differ.

Depends on your existing foundation. I have found that GRE scores correlate decently with secondary school achievements.

So if you did extremely very well in secondary school and understood most things in maths and english, then 1 month "might" be enough to get a good score, i.e. quant >160, verbal >150. I have heard of some people who revised for 2 weeks and got better than these scores.

However, if this is not the case, then you may need many more months to prepare really very hard, to hopefully get a good score.

Speak to the guy above who got outstanding GRE scores and ask him for his tricks. All exams have tricks.

Does this really depend on existing foundation? This is not to argue. Just asking.....
I was one of the best at maths in both secondary schools I attended. I studied accounting and the best scores on my university transcript are maths and maybe stats courses. I took my GRE yesterday and failed woefully. Quants- 147, Verbal- 146 without essay.
I studied for 2 months.
