I can just imagine your itch to get out to explore. How many more days do you have left to quarantine?

How did you go about your accommodation? Did you pay before arrival or you had a place to stay before traveling?

Good morning all,

Please I need suggestions on a quick and reliable online UK bank account I can open from Nigeria, as I will travelling to the UK 2weeks from now but my new employer is requesting for my bank details already.
Hi, are you going under the UK health and care Tier 2 visa?

Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Mustardsandteal: 2:04pm On Sep 18, 2020
I saw this page through a Google search. I am in the health line and would love to apply for the UK Health and care visa. I had my degree here, finished 2:1.

Who can put me through please? @fatima04 please, any suggestions? Thank you.

Apparently there is an app that shows you the location of speed cameras. it's called radarbot. got mine off play store.

Secondly, has anyone got recommendations for the best suya, point and kill, peppersoup and other nigerian delicacies in london. I cant travel so will have to treat myself in london. Thanks in advance

Tier 2 General, yes. Tier 2 health care visa, not 100% sure its started yet, but it will be similar process with Tier 2.

Pass required exams by your professional body,
Get a job,
Get sponsorship
Apply for visa.

You may want to state your exact profession for tailored advise

I have a 2-pronged advise for you.
Search for @omopapa on Nairaland, browse through his posts on this matter, thank (me) him later.

Secondly, Biochemistry is a course, not a Profession (in the strictest sense of it). I would think one of your best bets is to wish to practice in the UK as a Biomedical Scientist. In this case, you need to register with the UK HCPC. But that can only be done if you either; do a relevant Masters Degree in Applied Biochemistry (for example) in a relevant (and accredited) UK school. I am assuming that you are not a registered Med Lab Scientist in Nigeria.

Thirdly, loop you my first point and study Omopapa’s posts. He has tackled this on Nairaland so much that if I was him, I probably would have started demanding payment (straight face).

You are not alone cheesy
EmmyKing86:
Good morning everyone.

Trust all is keeping safe.

Still about passport renewal at the Nigerian High Commission London. I applied for passport renewal on the 24th of August. On one hand, information on the website says backlog of applications fron March to August will be dealt with. While on the other hand, renewal will be strictly on appointment.

Since my application (and payment), I have not gotten any appointment date via text or email as promised on the website and I am thinking on going to London next week since covid cases have started to increase and want to avoid any possible lockdown situation.

Please, I want to know if anyone is in the same predicament or have recently collected a new passport.

Kind Regards.
