Snoopyjaga:. This didn't last long though . I was driving on my way to island last week .. my car stopped driving and entered neutral on the road, at bode thomas .. I was really stranded , touts and police rubbished me because my car broke down on the road .. kick spoiled while forcing it to start , my battery died also .. rain beat the Bleep out of me because I gats stay with the car that's impossible to move from the road, some stupid mechanic duped me telling me they want to rent battery for me .. well long story cut short , my car spent 3 days out before my mechanic came to check it , now he's telling me the engine is not rolling anymore .. that he'll have to bring the engine down .. I have pimped the car to my taste .. I haven't even rode it for a month . The gear oil leaks .. this car has given me the worst experience about BMW cars. .. and also a money pit .. my mechanic has cash out on my head 1 Like 1 Share

Snoopyjaga: As expected. Sorry, chief. Sorry you had to learn the hard way. The only thing worse than a BMW is a used BMW and the only worse than that is a Nigerian used BMW. Looks like you got a bad car. 1 Like 1 Share |

nakoks: No one's arguing that. He bought a lemon. Buy again, he does not have a competent BMW mechanic to handle the needed repairs. If he is in the FCT, I know the right person to recommend to him. 1 Like 1 Share |

uboma:. He works in ladipo and the guy specializes in BMW only .. don't know if you've ever been to adetula at ladipo , that place is BMW zone .. someone recommended the guy to me , and he's the one that changed the engine and gear in the first place .. please do you know any better .. I stay in Lagos . |

Snoopyjaga:sorry man. You bought a poorly maintained naija used BMW. I'm still enjoying and rocking mine (bought toks) after 1 year. No issues. Take it to a certified BMW mechanic for a fix once and for all. You have the cash. Stop throwing it away. Thats a nice machine to waste on rewire and uninformed mechanics. I think gazzuzz now does BMW. Take it to him 2 Likes 1 Share |

Snoopyjaga: If he's that competent, why is your car still having issues? I had a bad experience with my first BMW car. I had a couple of trial and error mechanics who seized every opportunity to milk me dry. It's bad having someone who's not competent. |
Re: BMW Owners' Forum by Snoopyjaga: 8:04am On Sep 19, 2020 |
Just really fed up now .. I really like the car , I have spent a lot thinking each time I spend that the car will finally be okay , but instead it grabs more money .. . Now I'll always be scared when I'm driving because it might breakdown on the road again ... I haven't even rode it for a month . That's the most painful thing . I need a real competent mechanic.. this will be my last time giving it to that mechanic . |

Snoopyjaga: Can recommend both mechanic and rewire to you in Lagos. Competent ones, contact me via my signature |
Re: BMW Owners' Forum by uboma(m): 8:23am On Sep 19, 2020 |
Snoopyjaga: Exactly. Stop engaging him because he is not competent. |

I greet the house, I was searching online for the price of BMW 525i 2004 model steering rack when I saw this thread, please my car ATF oil dries up every morning and I do top it up, I went to my BMW mechanic this morning he just told me that it's the steering rack I'll need to change and he was trying to call his contact at ladipo to know the price. Please have anyone here experience such before and is it truly the steering rack that's making the oil lick. Also my vehicle finds it difficult climbing hilly roads, if I don't move with speed before getting to the hilly place it won't go, he told me it's the gear, but all the causes I read online gear wasn't part of any of them. Please have anybody experienced this and what can be the likely solution. Thank you. |

drakeskull: I am in the FCT. Will it be possible to send it back if it doesn't work on my car? |
Re: BMW Owners' Forum by drakeskull(m): 10:28am On Sep 19, 2020 |
uboma: That I don't know really. If you can discuss with the seller. What about gudu guys? |
Re: BMW Owners' Forum by uboma(m): 10:30am On Sep 19, 2020 |
drakeskull: I was at Gudu some days ago. The only two brainboxes owned by one of the dealer's did not work on my car. Kindly give me the number of the dealer in Lagos so I can call him. Thank you |

erico2k2: Yes, e was the one that bought steering rack rubber for it cus of the leakage too, but the leakage continued |
Re: BMW Owners' Forum by erico2k2(m): 9:11pm On Sep 19, 2020 |
IceTrice01:ok if he had gone undernith to have a look then you should buy an imported rack and buy and fix at same shop cos if you buy frm afar and you fix it an it is stil faulty then refund becomes an issue as faulty rack can damage ur pump I learnt that the hard way |
