Its really not about Buhari but Trump racism in action.Trump focus mainly on African Countries and it would even be worse if voted in for another four years so let black brace up

Canada and Europe don't care, and it's cheaper. And in Canada, you're pretty much guaranteed a path to citizenship or a green card if you do your research.

This probably won't stick. It's just a racist dog whistle.

Among the countries targeted in the new policy are those on the US “STATE SPONSOR OF TERRORISM LIST” and STUDENTS from countries that VISITORS have OVER STAY of more than 10 PERCENT.

Nigeria is on the list because of these two reasons.

It's important to note that under these proposals, you can still study for a four year degree as a Nigerian but you will have to renew your visa after every 2 years.

False.
Asians are number one in overstays.

Thank you!!! I believe it's high time they did this honestly. Many other countries have the same policy. This is to reduce the number of "students" who mischievously enrol into another program even after initial program has ended just to remain in the US.

It is not new. The U.S has always issued 2 years visa to F-1 applicants, even when your program is for 4 years. F1 applicants are expected to renew when the initial visa expires. But most students don't renew. So with this new policy, I think they will be forced to do that!
I think this is a good policy.

To be honest if America vote Trump again then they are finish the way Nigerians made silly mistake and returned the bad market in Aso Rock to sniffed life out of them.

Everyday under Trump it has always be this policy that policy all kind of wicked and satanic policy same in Nigeria one day one useless policy another day aother evil, life sucking policy.

you call Trump wicked because he is not allowing people like you to overrun the US with fake visit with the intention to stay behind - when people apply for visa in Nigeria, they say they will return in 2 weeks and yes there are some people who return in that 2 weeks because they went there for genuine reasons - but a preponderant number of Nigerians will get the visa and start constituting nuisance in the USA - so which responsible government will allow that? The average working American is happy with Trump's economic policies and national security measures so they don't give a flying rip how you feel in Nigeria- Americans elected Trump to be the President of the USA and not the charity mugu to keep helping you and your country men when you refuse to fix your country but seeking the easier route of running away and start complaining from afar - SO STAY AND FIX YOUR COUNTRY AND LEAVE TRUMP ALONE!!! grin

If Every Nigerian can stop accepting money by vote buying politicians on election day, refuse to help politicians snatch ballot boxes and vote their conscience and stay back to defend their votes, at least every politician in their first terms will work wonders in their constituencies so to be re-elected

BUT no, you guys come here to praise evil politicians, praying that they use federal might to successfully steal the people's mandate - BUT you want to run away to places where such things cant happen and you think Trump is not seeing all that? hmmmmm - let us thank God Trump is helping us to realize we are fools. IF NOT FOR THE THREAT OF VISA BAN - Maybe the certified thief will be EDO STATE GOVERNOR ELECT as I type now - so is that racist? ? ?

Per the article:

Among the countries targeted in the new policy are those on the US “State sponsor of terrorism list” and students from countries that visitors have overstay rate of more than 10 percent.

Boko Haram have been around longer than Buhari has been president and was alleged to have been sponsored by state governors in the north during GEJ's time.

Nigerians are notorious for refusing to go home once they get to north America. Again, an issue that predates this administration.

so what is different from what I said? this order was not made in from 1999 to 2015. Nigerians have always wanted to leave, yeah boko haram have been there since obj's time but what we see today is beyond what we use to see. buhari have not hidden his support for boko haram right from gej's tenure, right now so called repentant terrorist are being rewarded with land, markets and houses courtesy of Buhari. if fulani terrorist attack your village and you want to put up a resistance, army from nowhere will come and round you the victims up. who is the CinC?
with all this more Nigerians want to flee the country even more.

Guy, buhari is to be blamed after all he is that president! we blamed Jonathan when he was there.

Those who criticize the country do so because they have been failed through the actions and I actions of its leaders. Criticism is the bedrock of democratic ideals that puts the leaders on the part of critical thinking in order to achieve properous growth. It is very unfortunate these leaders don't even see criticism as a means for wake up call so that all and sundry in this great nation can achieve sustainable development. Even the US that has great system is not immune to critism by its citizens. This country has failed us that is why I don't see anything bad when people criticize people in position of authority. You may be a beneficiary of the government in authority that's not a problem but always don't take ur opinions on the throat of others. Diversification of views is needed to achieve a well rounded discuss which most times depict the minds of people on the streets who bear the adverse effect of policies chunned out by these leaders. Peace

Hahaha. Interesting but it sounds bizarre though. Never mind when people like us get into the government, the US visa would be a thing of the past and will issue visas wholeheartedly and it'll be five years or more. America is not even the best in the world. Norway is a lot better.
