This is not true.
Can you please explain why you said so?

Buy the 2005 x5. Don't buy the x3, It isn't cheap in maintenance. The 2005 x5 is cheaper than the rx330 and ml350 in maintenance yet drives better than both cars.
This is an advice from an old user not hearsay.
Ok. Thank you. It's been noted.

I've owned an RX330 for 6.5years and no major repairs apart from oil change and brake pad changes. The only work I did on the car prior to sale was shocks and bushings.

What do you know? Mobile internet mechanic. How much is 2005 x5 engine and gear? How much is rx330 engine and gear??

Don't mind him. There are peculiar experiences and there are general experiences. He is just giving you his own peculiar experience with his mobile polymer. Visit Ladipo parts market and ask for the prices of rx330 engine, gear, shocks absorbers..even the rear balloon of a 2005 x5 is 25k pair (Tokunbo). Spring absorber is 10k pair for real and 14k for front. The 2005 x3 front absorber is 30k tokunbo. The x5 headlamp is 40k pair while x3 headlight is 100 to 120k pair..I can go on and on... Don't let anyone deceive you here.

In a bid to discredit me you end up showing the whole world that you're crass, mannerless, rude and act/speaks like a thug.

No matter how you try to paint it, lemme put the records straight. In that 6.5years of my Lexus ownership, a BMW X5 owner may had gone thru multiple repairs on various mechanical, suspension and electrical components several times. Cumulatively, the bills will be higher than that of the Lexus one time repair bill.

Think out of the box.

I disagree with you here.

The BMW X5 is cheaper in maintenance costs and spare parts than the RX330.

How did you arrive at the words in bold especially as you have not had a first hand experience with the X5?

You are right about the maintenance costs of the X5 and X3.

The X3 costs more to maintain, the parts are also more expensive than the X5.

Hello guys

I have been looking forward to getting my first car, either a BMW X3 or X5 2004 - 2007.

But I am afraid after reading all the things people have been writing about this brand.

I need your advice on these:

1. Is the car good for a first time car owner? I am in my late twenties.

2. Is it expensive to maintain?

3. Is the car generally problematic?

4. How much can get me any of the models I mentioned?

I love the car, design, interiors, etc. If you think that I should not go for it, which other car will you recommend that is in the same category with it? I don't want any car that is mostly driven by g-guys.

Thank you guys.
My personal preference is the X5, the X3 looks ugly and it's like a raised E46 (same way a 1st gen Highlander is like a raised '99 Camry)

Go with someone that has used a BMW before you pay for the car

I am in love with the E30.

Please post pictures of yours. I will love to see it.

Ladipo BMW Spare Parts market remains the best place to get what you seek.

I really enjoy my e30 I need the bumper for back Ve tried ladipo not available
Re: BMW Owners' Forum by alphaNomega: 1:16pm On Oct 05, 2020
The E30 is running out of spare parts. I think you should ditch it and upgrade. There lots of newer, problematic BMWs out there. They are fun too cheesy
