Is it right to say you're single when you're in a relationship?

I feel you should come out straight like; "I'm not single, I'm in a relationship, but I'm not married yet"

This, I think makes it more sensible and helps the "toaster" or "wooer" take an "on-the-spot" decision whether to play along or move! But I guess the mentality of not putting your eggs in one basket, would make one conceal the relationship status!

2. Engaged
3. In a Relationship
4. In an Open Relationship
